WFT vs Eagles Game Thread

WFT is 4-1 with Smith starting, 2-8 with anyone else.

They don't need their offense to carry their defense. They just need the offense to make plays that are there, and don't put the defense in bad spots.

Since being traded to Washington in 2018, Smith is 10-5.

Crazy how mediocre they look. Yet, Smith always wins

He was going through chemotherapy during the season as well. If they had Smith at QB all season they would've already locked up the division.

Rivera was a great hire for them. With a defensive coach like that and the ferocious DL they have, it can keep a team competitive even when the offense stinks. I hope they don’t get any better at QB and offense or they are going to be a tough go twice a year for a long time.

I don’t see how they can do it. With Wentz on a massive deal and after spending a #2 on Hurts.

honestly they need too much help elsewhere to spend the top pick on a QB. Unless they really think the one available is the next elite QB.

That being said he has also been a turnover machine all year. So I can see why they pulled him a couple games too.

I swear every single game I watch there are multiple runs of no gain or even a loss or two by both teams. Dallas NEVER holds the other team to nothing on a run. It really is crazy. Dallas is also the only team out there that gives up five yards a pop when they need a stop at the end and you know 100% they are running it.

But yet this organization will not address the DT position seriously. They take cheap fliers on washed up players

Ppl give Dak a hard time for needing to have good receivers and blocking. But I have literally heard this excuse for Wentz every year--that he doesn't have enough weapons, his OL sucks, etc. And yet his backups have done more with the exact same resources.

Bottom line, Wentz was overdrafted and has come back down to his true status. He was an injury prone, inaccurate QB who did well to make plays against lower competition. That's not enough in the pros.

They are 6-26 with other QBs during that time.

When you play good defense what you do not want is a dumb QB who puts your defense in bad spots. Smith plays it safe, gives the defense good field position.
