I live in Carrollton, Tejas and keep my thermostat at 75 in the summer.

My wife complains that it’s too hot, but I don’t think so.

Am I a monster, or nah?

68 when its really hot and muggy, 70 or 72 otherwise.....always gotta be an even number though lol......

68 in cold weather is usually how I roll.

I think I’m kind of normal when it comes to winter

I'm generally not natured so I think cooler feels better in the winter. Summer can feel a bit warm but it's a trade off for the electric bill.

68-70 in Winter and 73-75 in Summer. Usually more 73 than 75.

In Oklahoma lets see, winters about 65 or so. Maybe a bit higher if its bitterly cold like 25 degrees or less. In the summer around 78 in the daytime and 74 at night which keeps it plenty cool. I clean the outside condenser fins twice a year as well as a new air filter for the system every month where there is high usage{summer/winter}. Other times may let it ride for a couple or so months. About 2 years ago I had a technician take out the cage/fan/motor and clean out all of the dust with air/water hose, which was the first time it had been done in YEARS. When he took it out the fan was about covered in 30% dust I estimate. It made the huge difference and was the best 200 bucks I've ever spent.

Changes all the time. That's really the only downside to the Nest. I can keep my fat butt on the couch and dial it up or down a bit, depending on how I'm feeling.

I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of 68 to 72, depending on the time of year. In the spring and fall, I usually dial it to not run at all and just open the windows. We don't really have humidity here so a cool day can sometimes feel a bit cold inside. It's great.

The 1st couple of years I was married, my wife and i argued about the temp in the house all the time. I wanted it at 68 or 69 because I liked it cooler. I also sleep better when the air has a chill. She wanted it at 72. So after a few battles, we compromised at 72. Yea, that is right, I gave her what she wanted. 30 years later there have been no other arguments about the temp in the house. I do sleep with a high powered fan right next to me in hte bed. That fan has to be there regardless if it is 80 degrees or 20 degrees.

You guys are machines. I try to keep it around 73 during the day if the ceiling fans are on but at night I have to have it around 68.
