You hit my sweet spot.
First, get what you lilke. Some people like pineapple and ham. I've tried it and it isn't as bad as it sounds. If you enjoy it, eat it.
But I draw the line at certain things on my pizza. Onions, and green bell peppers or red bells are the only acceptable vegetables on a pizza. And they must be cooked on the pizza. No jarred roasted peppers please!
As for meats, only pepperoni and thin sliced Italian sausage. Meatballs is on the line but go easy on that. No ham, chorizo or chicken, especially buffalo chicken. That's not pizza! I find Buffalo chicken and sauce to be gross.
And then there is the cheese. mozzarella, some provolone, and s hint of parmesan is allowed. No cheddar, goat cheese or ricotta, unless it is a white pizza. Then Romano and ricotta are allowed - but still no cheddar or American cheese.
