Anything can happen in division match-ups. Dak gets rolling and we make marginal improvements to our defense, its not outside the realm of possibility.

Fanspeak. Hopin' and wishin'. Takes no effort whatsoever. And carries no weight either. No offense intended to you personally.

And lets figure in that Wentz has virtually no run game to speak of.

Yet he operates the one of the highest percentage of play action in the league--go figure.

Philly offence is predicated on the short passing game. Wentz has been going downfield a bit more this season, but many of his passes have been interceptable.

Are you dissing him or praising him? Great pocket presence, can get out of trouble, make plays on the run with his arm or his legs. Great leader and great arm, Accurate.

None taken. I do hope & wish, lol. I mean, predicting a loss takes about as much effort as predicted a win. I'm not sold on the Eagles and I'm not ready to abandon the season.

I'll be here to the bitter end too, but I'm down. My faith has been seriously shaken and I'm tired of repeated disappointment. Just when you start to think they've turned a corner, they go back to disappointing you.

I'm still here, but they'll have to work to restore my faith as I'm not just giving it to them because I mistakenly see it as noble or my obligation as a fan. It's a two-way street for me.

And it sucks to see teams passing the Cowboys by like they were stuck in quicksand. Two losses already to first year programs, and what looks like an Eagles team that has not only quickly rebounded from the Chip Kelly debacle, but looks to have passed us by as well.

I feel you. The continual last second defeats to Green Bay are really testing me. Still hoping for that Eagles collapse to help console.

It's not gonna be enjoyable losing to Philly,, never has been and it never will be,,,we ought to play the game first, like Denim pointed out( and everybody knows)division games take on a more heated and personal nature and teams win/loss records can 'generally' be thrown out the window,,,,Philly ain't been all that convincing overall in their points margin of victory, pretty sure they dropped their opener to T.B.,, er,,,and ain't lost since,,, but ,STILL they are beatable and that 'loser' stamp across their foreheads is pretty much tattooed in indelible inko_O

(I really hate losing to Philly)

I think it's a toss up between the two. They're both playing very well. Dak is far from the reason why this team is losing. In fact, without him, we wouldn't have even been in these games.

The key differences I see between the two teams is in coaching and defense. Schwartz and the Eagles are much better defensively than the Cowboys right now.

Their defense is strong and the Cowboy's is just developing.

agree, did you see their linebackers last night. all over the place.
DBs were solid vs good WRs and at times looked like knew routes ahead of time.

Their linebackers are a good group. They have some veterans in their secondary and defensive line...and they have been consistently investing in good talent on the defensive side of the ball.

Agreed.

No I can't. And I can't be bothered to try as I see no point in it. I don't know what you're trying to achieve with the question.
I think what he saint is that Lee missed the last two games. If you agree Lee is worth 7 points, and you subtract 7 from our opponents the last two weeks, we win both games ands would be 4-1.

I'm just explaining the point, not making it.

This article is referenced in the daily tweets thread, but felt it was worthy of having its own thread.

There's a lot of quality information contained here and it shows that there's plenty going wrong defensively in Dallas:

61.

The amount of points the Dallas Cowboys have scored in the last two weeks.

848.

The amount of yards the Cowboys’ offense accumulated against the Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers.

105.2

Dak Prescott’s QB rating in his last two outings.

2.

The number of losses the Cowboys have in those two games.

It’s obvious to even the casual viewer that the Cowboys’ offense hasn’t been the problem lately — it’s the defense. Under Football Outsiders’ DVOA system, the Cowboys rank 23rd in pass defense, 32nd in run defense, and 29th in overall defense this season — meaning the Cowboys’ defense has been below-average thus far. Those struggles have been exacerbated the last two games.

Why?

Glad you asked.

This fan sees two defensive personnel changes that should happen immediately. Heath and Jaylon Smith need to sit, and Woods and Hitchens need to start (with Lee's return).

The rest is the fault of some poor coaching.

848 yards accumulated against the Rams and Green Bay????
Can't possibly be that much.
Did you leave a third opponent out?
Holla, bloke.
