Pass rush can’t get home

We get more sacks and TFLs it helps to change down and distance for offenses

Instead we are always “a finger tip” away and they push the ball downfield for 10-15 yards

Exactly, they are a bend but don't break defense, and we are surprised when they bend but don't break.

weve bent against bad teams,what happens against good teams.. cracking . breaking? its an issue..

Jerry go get Adams at S and Ramsey at C you want to be a player or two from a SB, those are them...D bends too much gives u chunk yards and we need some playmakers on this side of the ball.. we have many on offense,,now shift to defense,.. trade BJ for Ramsey with pick and if he comes available go after Adams..

Can either of them rush the passer?

 

[Verdict]

The defense is problematic. We have enough talent on the defense to be exceptional (except at DT). We aren’t getting much pass rush, or pressure on the QB.

Lee needs to ride the pine. He is a liability on defense. We aren’t getting very good linebacker play so far, schematically. It seems like we are getting very good physicality from Predator and Wold Hunter, and athleticism, but they aren’t dialed in at hitting the point of attack. Lee is just a black hole.

Our DB play isn’t bad. I think we have enough good DBs to compete with anyone.

Quinn was a breath of fresh air in terms of getting around the QB. Tank pisses me off in that we are paying him to be Tarzan but he is playing like Jane and that’s on him.

DT play is not good enough. I would be looking to bolster that position at the trade deadline if a reasonable opportunity arises.

DT's need to get better on run defense.
- If a big bodied 1Tech comes available, Cowboys need to get over themselves and grab him (Lions got Snacks Harrison for a 5th round pick)
-Tyrone Crawford moving back inside will help with interior pass rush

DE's are fine, especially if Gregory gets reinstated
-Quinn needs to add some counters or spins, he just runs the hoop every, single time. Still, he makes a difference

LB's are fine personnel wise but need something. Coaching? Someone to light a fire under them

CB's
- Jones is fine
-Awuzie will be okay. As bad a day he had today, he was in phase, Needs to fix some things
- Play Jourdan Lewis more.
- I'm not an Anthony Brown fan, but I'd rather play 4 of our CB's than 3 of our Safeties

Safeties
- Trade for one now. There are some bad teams (Jets, Broncos) that have some really good safeties.

play a great team for 2 halves not one half against a bad one which is 3 games in row now and go back to the rams game and theres for sure an issue with this defense.

no sugar coating..they in all years different era have let us down in the payoffs way too many times..

You guys are silly, defense is not top 3 but they are good enough. They held Miami scoreless in the 2nd half and didn't give up any TDs

It’s common practice bend don’t break garbage I bet he’s happy with today’s results

Now the penalties and awuzi getting torched may not make him happy

But they only gave up 6 pts and I’m sure that the cowboys are happy with that

I thought Quinn makes a difference and I think it will her only better jaylon looks bad atm but only 6 pts
