I'll go off the board for the 1st one...Leon Lett's pre-mature celebration in SBXXVII, he scores and that gives us the biggest blowout in SB history...

#2...again Leon Lett, his Thanksgiving Day blunder...cost me a lot of money to fix my broken hand that went thru my grandmother's door after he tried to recover the blocked kick...

1. The '94 NFC Title game where a draw play to Emmitt on 3rd and goal from the 10 was called INSTEAD of obviously, a pass into the endzone in that first half(when we were climbing back after a slow start). Subsequently, Bonio missed that chip shot, but that cute, bone-headed play call still rings in my mind. Otherwise, the outcome might have been different.

2. Toward the end of the first half against the Panthers in that '96 NFC WC game...Aikman overthrows a wide open ?Kelvin Martin?(forgot the receiver's name) in the endzone when all the momentum was starting to tide our way at the end of the first half. Irvin went down early in that game. However-that was nonetheless a momentum killer. The Panthers subsequently INT a pass on the next drive, and drove for a FG to end the half.

3. Several missed Richie Cunningham FGs in '99-forget Irvin's career-ending injury, RC was THE goat of that season.(Otherwise, we would have blown out the Vikes in that reg season game-which ended up turning around our season) He was remarkable for his first 2 years, only to stink it up that year.

4. Troy Hambrick, instead of running up the gut for a TD in the 1st half against the Eagles late in '03, decided to run out of bounds. Score would have been 14-10 Dallas(instead of a 10-10 tie) at the half. Probably changed the personality of the entire game.

5. The potential game winning FG against the Skins at FedEx in '06 that was blocked by the Skins, returned for a ton of yardage to set up the game winning FG by them. A very gut-wrenching snatching defeat from the hands of victory by us.

6. Parcells calling FOUR predictable, up-the-gut MB3 run plays in the '06 xmas Eagles game. Pretty much-they were the same EXACT plays all 4 times. Otherwise, it could have, would have, should have been 7-7 at the point.(Even Andy Reid pretty much admitted they KNEW those play calls in advance in his post-game PC) Subsequently, the Eagles had a long drive
that resulted in them going up 10-0, and never looked back.

7. Patrick Crayton dropping that pass that could have slowly, but surely put the game away against the Giants in last year's playoffs.

1. Bart Starr's lunge in the Ice Bowl. Jerry Kramer false started.

2. Dave Manders would be correctly credited with recovering a fumble in

Super Bowl V. The refs said Baltimore recovered it. They didn't.

ohhhhhhhhhhh those are good ones but
The 70s would be totally different for us if JS didnt drop the ball ( much more HOF's 4sure)

and then the 80's the catch
yep thats mine

1. The damn "No Danny, No!" play. Growing up in DC, you took a lot of ribbing for that one.

2. A lot of people mention the non-PI call on Deion against Irvin in the '94 NFC Championship, but what about Switzer coming out on the field and getting a 15 yard penalty, when the game was still not out of hand only down 10 points? A FG on that drive and we still have a chance. I still like Switzer though.......

There was a play in the 66 Packer's game where we were inside the ten at the end of the game down one score. A player missed his assignment and there was either a penalty or the busted play resulted in lost of yards. We had been marching down the field until then. After that play we seemed to disintegrate. Anyone remember that busted play and what Landry said about it?

A PI call gave us the ball on the 2 yard line with 1:52 to go. On 1st down a running play to Dan Reeves gets the ball to the one. On second down left guard Jim Boeke gets a false start penalty. Then Dan Reeves drops a pass out in the left flat. He latter stated he had been poked in the eye on the 1st down run and had double vision. On third down Meredith had Pettis Norman open for a touchdown but threw the ball down around his ankles. He caught it but was tackled at the two yard line. On fourth down is the famous play where Meredith was intercepted. The right guard pulled out to far and did not check Meredith's back side. Dave Robinson of the packers was tackling him when he throws a desperation pass.

For me, it's easily "The Catch" with too many other plays a very distant second to mention.

It's like a TIVO in my head..........I can rewind that play, and play it over and over again in slow motion. I even have freeze frame capabilities.

I'll take my choices since I started following the Cowboys in 1980.

I'll take "The Catch" by Dwight Clark in the 1981 NFC championship game.

I'll add the Eric Davis INT returned for a TD in the 1994 NFC championship game. It really started the game off on a bad note and by the time the dust cleared we were down 21-0 halfway through the first quarter on the road. If you want to add another from the same year, how about the TD given up to Rice just before the end of the half when we met them in the regular season - a very big play, as well.

I'll second those two. :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Seems like " The Catch " is the one we would want to reverse the most. I remember that Gatorade commercial from the last year or 2 that takes some clips and changes them (if you don't drink gatorade). Montana's pass sails over Dwight Clark's head. If only that was real....

I'll add another two (though not as painful as the playoffs):

  • Drew Bledsoe getting picked by Lito Sheppard (who else) at Philly in 2006. If we scored, it was a tie game and most likely overtime.
  • Jimmy Johnson retiring (being shown the door or whatever). I knw not a play but if he stays, Dallas becomes first team ever to three-peat (fourpeat I'm not so sure.)
