I don't get you guys...just because the #1 guy we wanted to sign today and did sign isn't someone you've heard tv guys talking about you think the day blew and that we signed backups...sheeesh.

We just signed and upgraded our LG position which will allow us to get younger, more mobile, more versatile, and jettison LA and save a ton of wasted money on a guy who isn't very good any more.

I'm very happy for a first day. If you thought we were going to pay huge money on a C in Bentley, you were dreaming anyway. If you thought we were going to make the mistake we made with LA and pay huge money to a guy in his 30's, you're just stubborn.

Unless you are a super bowl team with 1-2 holes which 1-2 big name/big money guys will fix and make you the powerhouse of the league, this is exactly how you play FA....you find young starters with experience who can start immediately on your OL, a guy who has already played the position as a starter in 2005, so you have plenty of tape on him....a guy who still has upside and should get better and better, expecially a guy who's been moved all over the line as a youngster just because he could. He has played some RT and could in a pinch, but we signed him to do what he did this past year, play LG.

I just don't understand what you guys are whining about...we just got better and resigned a guy that our coach obviously wants around to either play center or backup Riverra at RG.

We're working on two Linebackers, Fujita and Adele, and we have a scheduled Kicker visit...it's only the first day, but this guy was obviously a guy we were intent on having...be happy.

Seems that people just want guys to sign just for the sake of signing.

It's kind of like giving up on your team when you're down 7-3 in the first quarter and you're already heading for the exits.

Fujita's not here; he's out around visiting other teams who interested in him, so don't count on him. The LB currently visiting VR sounds similar to Fujita and also is not a starter.

Not excited about resigning Gurode; seems like he and Johnson will be competing for center starter - again -- and we only resigned him for 1 year.

Don't understand how we plan to use Kozier. Will he play LG or RT. No indication Allen is gone because of this signing. So I suspect most of us don't understand why we've only signed 1 rather unknown OL. Initially, thought he was a backup, but he being paid starter money -- but which position?

Also understand Fabini left VR unsigned which is big disappointment. While I really wanted a younger RT, at least Fabini was an upgrade over Pettiti. Assume Fabini want ridiculous amount of money or he failed physical.

All in all this not what I expected. When Stephen Jones said we will be aggressive etc & with money we have available I certainly expected more player signings -- even if those players are tier 2 level.

Did Longwell visit VR today or was that just a rumor? Supposedly Vinatera coming tomorrow or is that just a rumor too.

Seems to me that allowing Fabini to leave and then signing Kosier might be an indication that we were trying to fill the right tackle position first, and Kosier was one of our choices there.
