What a real GM should do-Dak and defense

Jerry Jones always drops the ball in his hiring of NFL head coaches. Shotty is not the answer. 5 years or more down the line-if I'm still here- God willing-I'll be posting this same post again. What Dallas needs as a head coach are guys like Dan Cambell or Mike Vrabel. Both have gone in and made their teams tough as nails. Vrable did it in one year. But Jerry likes comfort. Comfort gets you coaches like Garrett -McCarthy and Schotty. Schotty is Garrett 2.0. Jerry says he'd take Eberlax and Shotty in a fox hole. I'd take Cambell and Vrable-thank-you.

Dak Prescott for whatever reason is not a BIG game quarterback. In big games for whatever the reason, he just goes glassy eyed. He freaks out. Maybe it's because he knows it's all on him. No help coming. Maybe he has no confidence in himself or the coaches. I'd go see a sports psychologist if I were him to discover why this happens. Yet he's great against lesser teams or even types. Maybe the whole team chickens out when a bully shows up.

On defense Dallas needs to go and get a young defensive coordinator. But once again "JERRY" goes out and makes another comfort for Jerry hire in Eberlax. Schotty had no say in the hire. How the hell does that keep happening? I'd move Marist to safety-next off season. I would only draft from schools like Ohio State-Texas-Alabama-USC and a few more on defense. Quit trying to prove you're smarter than everyone else by going to- I'd call them off-brand schools. Draft where the defensive talent is historically been.
So friggin tired of this organization running this team. But what can you do? Sickening......indeed :facepalm:
 
Brett Hundley prescott would have been gone years ago. Nobody would have tried to surround him with the greatest players ever to carry him. He would have been relegated to backup and finally phased out of the league. shrugs... you asked.
 
I blame Zeke for the Dak problem.

Dak was afforded the ability to hide his flaws behind the best RB and OLine in football for years while he was able to developed into a QB able to fool a no nothing GM into giving him money.

The defense is just soft. It’s a culture issue and always will be. There’s no accountability whatsoever and if you come in looking to change the culture you’re quickly turned into just another country clubber.

There is entirely too much comfort in this organization.
 
So? Anybody has any idea's on moving Marist to safety? I think he loses 15 or so pounds and put him at Wilson spot. Or should we just say screw it and draft a safety. Woody drafted at linebacker and moved to safety and had a near Hall of Fame career.

In my opinion this is correct. Most 4th round QB's would have been pulled after his very poor start to 2017. He also played badly at the end of 2016 even with Zeke. Without that team he's probably never a long term starter in the league. Now he's gotten the Jones to two muliple $100 million contracts. Sheesh.
 
First step is stop scouting and drafting from small schools for the defensive side, You are only smart when it works and it hasn't been the case. We don't need nice guys on DEF, we need enforcers!
 
This is why you play games in preseason!! You could of seen these problems clearly. And still had time to fix them. Also to prove my point. If the defense was playing good against our offense. What does it say about our offense???? It says when they go up against a good defense. Guess what happens :facepalm: Nothing Shotty does make sense. But I think it's the ghoul whose holding guys out in preseason.

Don't forget that idiot garrett who keep propping him up.
 
Bench Dak immediately until he agrees to a trade this offseason. Use every drop of draft capital we can put together to get the top QB in the next draft.

Jerry does do this. Just like drafting injured players. He is always reaching.
Always drafting in hopes of hitting it big so other execs in the league will accept him as a real football guy.

Unfortunately, Jerry wouldn't be able to handle either of those strong personalities.
 
I'd keep surrounding him with great players, hoping he wouldn't choke again, or I'd let him walk years ago. it's a toss-up....
