Yeah…Bellichek? Yikes.
I'm a huge UNC fan and ummmmmm…
The experiment so far looks like a scene from The Thing, 1982 version obviously!

He’s killing his legacy one day at a time. Hope his 25 year old is worth it.Yeah…

Well, you got to feel good about Drake Maye anyway.Yeah…

I love Drake and his brother Luke, a star on the basketball team that buried UK in the Elite 8 in 2017 with one of UNC’s greatest last second buckets ever.Well, you got to feel good about Drake Maye anyway.
I'm not saying Dak is or ever was the best option, and sadly I doubt he can ever stay consistent enough in the playoffs to give us a real chance to win it all, but this is a bit exaggerated. Zeke was only an elite RB 2-3 years, Travis Frederick only had 2 healthy years with Dak, Tyron Smith was still strong when he got something close to healthy, but he had to play with nagging injuries every year, his back was never completely healthy, and he missed games every year. Zach Martin was really the only constant on those lines.I blame Zeke for the Dak problem.
Dak was afforded the ability to hide his flaws behind the best RB and OLine in football for years while he was able to developed into a QB able to fool a no nothing GM into giving him money.
The defense is just soft. It’s a culture issue and always will be. There’s no accountability whatsoever and if you come in looking to change the culture you’re quickly turned into just another country clubber.
There is entirely too much comfort in this organization.
Zimmer and Reeves were both chased out after short stints because they weren't Jerry lubers.I blame Zeke for the Dak problem.

Schotty will be here through end of his contract. Jerry doesn't want to deal with Coaches dead money.Jerry Jones always drops the ball in his hiring of NFL head coaches. Shotty is not the answer. 5 years or more down the line-if I'm still here- God willing-I'll be posting this same post again. What Dallas needs as a head coach are guys like Dan Cambell or Mike Vrabel. Both have gone in and made their teams tough as nails. Vrable did it in one year. But Jerry likes comfort. Comfort gets you coaches like Garrett -McCarthy and Schotty. Schotty is Garrett 2.0. Jerry says he'd take Eberlax and Shotty in a fox hole. I'd take Cambell and Vrable-thank-you.
Dak Prescott for whatever reason is not a BIG game quarterback. In big games for whatever the reason, he just goes glassy eyed. He freaks out. Maybe it's because he knows it's all on him. No help coming. Maybe he has no confidence in himself or the coaches. I'd go see a sports psychologist if I were him to discover why this happens. Yet he's great against lesser teams or even types. Maybe the whole team chickens out when a bully shows up.
On defense Dallas needs to go and get a young defensive coordinator. But once again "JERRY" goes out and makes another comfort for Jerry hire in Eberlax. Schotty had no say in the hire. How the hell does that keep happening? I'd move Marist to safety-next off season. I would only draft from schools like Ohio State-Texas-Alabama-USC and a few more on defense. Quit trying to prove you're smarter than everyone else by going to- I'd call them off-brand schools. Draft where the defensive talent is historically been.
So friggin tired of this organization running this team. But what can you do? Sickening......indeed![]()
Doubt if he's fast enough. So? Anybody has any idea's on moving Marist to safety? I think he loses 15 or so pounds and put him at Wilson spot. Or should we just say screw it and draft a safety. Woody drafted at linebacker and moved to safety and had a near Hall of Fame career.
Anyone who thought on September 1st that this year was going to be anything other than a transition year and that we had a shot at anything wasn't paying attention or doesn't understand the NFL. Vrable was the HC I wanted this offseason and is the best young HC in the NFL IMO, but we wouldn't be doing any better with him with this team. I'm fine with Schotty right now. Our talent just absolutely stinks on defense and the talent on Offense isn't nearly as good as it has been looking so far. We traded our only superstar on defense. Our next best defender hasn't played a game. Our DB room has been in shambles due to injuries and honestly even if everyone was here we would be well below NFL average on defense. We just don't have the players. On Offense, how many people on here argued with me when I said Ferguson was going to have a big year again? Are our OTs any good? Heck are they even close to below average as a duo? How many people argued with me when I said Javonte was going to be the clear lead back and have a good year? How many people on here say over and over and over how Dak stinks? How many people said Pickens will implode and be a problem? Our OL has had injuries. CeeDee was out. So with all of this and all of the offseason talk on here about how crappy our offensive players are we are basically tied for the NFL lead in total offense and 2nd in points scored. So to you our Offensive minded HC gets no credit for that with the players that many on here said weren't any good all offseason and after half a season in which we never had a chance to win anything you know he isn't the answer? This was a 2 to 3 year cycle for any coach. We need to weed out the guys who aren't going to be here and stop trying to be relevant and build a SB winning team. Judging any HC with this group is just prematureJerry Jones always drops the ball in his hiring of NFL head coaches. And it's so stupid, because dead money for a coach is irrelevant as pertaining to the salary cap.Schotty will be here through end of his contract. Jerry doesn't want to deal with Coaches dead money.
Eberflus will be here next year too. in someways, I am willing to give him a little benefit of the doubt. I mean take a look at the players on defense. none of them would start for any of the top 10 or even top 15 teams. its garbage. they are unathletic, dumb, untalented and sad bunch of garbage....and you can't expect to put a piece of parsley next to a pile of crap on the plate and call it filet mignon (or even steak for that matter)..... what would anyone be able to do with this group?
Dak is what he is. he will be here for another 2 years. he is not elite and when he feels like he has to carry the team, and presses he tends to become tunnel visioned and throw interceptions.... and this defense is not helping. so bear with it another two years.
I don't see Jerry changing. he hasn't changed in 30 years. its not about championships. its about Money and he wants to maximize profits. that's his goal and he is achieving it without having a contender. so why change? we spend closer to the cap floor. we have minimal cash payout compared to other teams. we have low dead cap (because we tend to keep players despite performance to the end of contracts so we don't have to pay twice for the same position).
this team's focus is not winning. that's secondary. its about winning enough to keep interest. Jerry's words...he likes the drama, he likes to stir things up. how stupid is that!
Ignoring the sunshiners and gloomers, most on here thought our D was going to be bad. Yup.4 steps to improve defense:
1. Fire Ebermess and hire an aggressive DC from a good defensive unit
2. Get a top 1T DT
3. Get a real MLB
4. Get a good FS
Now you have the makings of a solid defense
oh I agree. those were Jerry's words. which tells me its all about the moneyAnd it's so stupid, because dead money for a coach is irrelevant as pertaining to the salary cap.
I think most realistic people expected a noticeable drop off for sure, but I doubt many realized there would be a total collapse. I've been a Cowboy fan for 55 years and I think this is the worst Cowboy defense I've seen.Ignoring the sunshiners and gloomers, most on here thought our D was going to be bad. It was really obvious.
Yeah, it is worse than I thought, but we were 28th last season, so there wasn't far to fall!!!!!I think most realistic people expected a noticeable drop off for sure, but I doubt many realized there would be a total collapse. Lol. The 2026 draft's QBs are trash. Without Dak, you're looking at signing a FA like Mac Jones, Justin Fields and Sam Howell.Bench Dak immediately until he agrees to a trade this offseason. Use every drop of draft capital we can put together to get the top QB in the next draft.
They already have 2 3T on the roster in OSA and Clark and they are serviceableYup.
5. Get a starting quality disruptive 3 tech.
