What about Aaron Glenn for HC

Humble, TX

Fun fact: it is not pronounced like “humble pie”, it is umble and they will correct you out there :muttley:
reminds me of moving to san antonio, and for years ... YEARS i didn't know where Bear county was, because i lived in Bexar county.

and Glenn is the inverse of Johnson to me. What he's managed to do with a lack of talent (due to injury) is incredibly impressive.
Yeah I dont have much of an issue with Johnson, but Glenn has sort of unfairly fallen down the coaching lists it seems. Hes done a nice job of keeping that defense together through adversity this year, and really looking back at some of the final scores Detroits defense has not been nearly as bad as they are being made out to be. Two rough shootouts against SF and Buffalo seem to be what is in the minds of fans, but overall that unit has a lot more good performances than bad ones this year it would appear.

yeah i don't particularly have an *issure* with Johnson, I am just not sure how much of their success is him vs the talent.

I'm not gonna pick any one of you guys out,

but I'm really tired of hearing how you believe you know exactly what these candidates might have all these assistant would be first time head coaches that you are inside their minds and you think that they wouldn't take this job as if it's rock solid concrete knowledge, hmmm.

do you guys have like a red phone access, have you talked to these guys?? you have not you haven't even talked to Jerry about how he feels about this this is all more rhetoric hyperbole and for those and you know who you are that say that Jerry doesn't exclusively allow them to pick their assistants, he does allow them to pick their assistants, Mike Nolan was 100% the wrong choice and that was Mike McCarthy's pick in that case Jerry Jones turned around and hired Dan Quinn which one was better Jerrys hire or Mike's hire??

same thing with some of these draft picks Jerry's allowed his assistance to or his head coach to have a sage who gets drafted who's not and typically you allow your head coach or your assistant to have too much control you get guys like Taco I guarantee Jerry didn't have him on his board before somebody put him there and tried to rally and pull for him to be drafted Jerry didn't do this on his own Jerry does things like any other corporation he allows input if you guys don't know this then you haven't really been paying attention.

Mike McCarthy said just two weeks ago he was doing an interview,
he had more input here than he ever had at any time in Green Bay with the roster and what not he literally said that without being prompted... Everybody thinks that Jerry put in Ezekiel Elliott or Jerry didn't use some of these players over some other players no that was Mike McCarthy y'all trying to let this guy off the hook but sometimes you can't allow full control to your head coaches or your assistant coaches for this very reason you get guys like Mike Nolan and Taco on your team guys like hill...

In my opinion Jerry Jones does allow enough latitude but at some point he takes control but in no way shape or form did K.Moore get forced upon Mike McCarthy it's already been said but if that was the case maybe they should have kept Kellen Moore because I don't like Mike McCarthy the OC and maybe we were better off keeping Moore...

I mean seriously sometimes common sense comes into play if Kellen Moore and Dan Quinn were forced upon Mike McCarthy versus Nolan and Mike I'm pretty sure I'm taking Jerry's picks...
Moore was shown the door, he’s long gone. The Cowboys stink. Jerry isn’t interviewing any other head coach candidates and has yet to get McCarthy to agree to a new contract.

Pretty sure your getting the same one as last year

All for it and mentioned him I think in October. I think he'd be a good option if we can't keep Mike.

Born and raised in Humble TX. Former Cowboy & Aggie. Ties to Bill Parcells and Sean Payton. Doing it with mirrors in Detroit. Let him pick his OC and ST coaches.
You will get more fat Mike…book it!

I think I know why and this would make me cancel his interview.

Cowboys management has been building up Al Harris as much as asst. HC tag ..and yet we'll surpass him up for an Arron Glenn as new HC ?

Me, nope, i think it's imperative to have a wizard offensive mind HC to oversee Dak and this offense that has been so mis-schemed under McCarthy
so many key players, de-emphasized and non-involved because of McCarthy .

Jerry wants a yes man. And Glenn will be a hot commodity and can go to a better organization.

Defensive head coaches are definitely the minority in the lewgue

Dallas is not a destination spot for coaches.

Dallas has an aging QB who can't stay healthy. mismanagement of its roster where they admitted that in 2025 they'll be losing more talent then they gain. A new hc here would be starting way behind the 8 ball with only the draft as a avenue to bring in talent.

I’d be interested in talking to him but no way will Jerry let me.
