Glenn as a rookie coach with Jerry and his kids. No way, no how. People act like they do not exist I guess because they suck but you have to account for them.

You need strong personality and establishment. Without it Zeke will be good enough and you will be surprised that two rookies starting on the OL is problematic.

I am fine with someone like BB because BB will get his way. Reid, Carroll, or someone of similar standing to what both Jimmy and Parcells were.

I am sorry but a guy like Glenn is the absolute worst choice when you accept that the Jones exist.

Why?

Because McClay drafted Bland and he’s good?
A few reasons.

Character + leadership - Players and fans will respect him. He's a real leader. Worked his way up the coaching ranks instead of it being handed to him. Watch any interview with Glenn and tell me that's not an NFL head coach.

The Parcells tie - He's one of Parcells' guys (the only person who came to Dallas and actually changed things, albeit temporarily).

Defensive success/player development - Took over a defense that was dead last and turned them around. Even with all their injuries this year. They're fast, physical, and get turnovers. And he appears to be an excellent scout of talent (look at who the Lions have drafted under Glenn--Branch, Joseph, McNiel, Hutchinson etc).

There's just a lot to like here with Glenn.

Why would he want to be part of this xxxxshow?
He has many options.
What's our pitch?
Come to Dallas, where we have a narcissistic, controlling owner who won't hire a football professional and insists on making every major decision himself, oh and we won't be spending much in FA to fill our many homes, and lastly, you'll be one of the lowest paid coaches in the league.

Jerry Jones will not pursue any head coach candidate that may agree to join another team. Once all the head coach positions are covered, if he has not re-signed McCarthy, he’ll sign a head coach.

Unless someone else hires him. He’s free to sign with other teams soon
