I'm gonna say this and it's hard truth. And when I say “need,” I mean “turn him into a Championship caliber quarterback.”
He’s had prime Zeke. He’s had an impenetrable wall as an offensive line. He’s had Dez Bryant. He’s had Amari Cooper. This season, he had a pro bowl receiver and running back. He was sack all of twice through two playoff games behind his current line. What else could you possibly give him?
once again our OL got man handled and that why we lost IMO., sure Dak INTs didn't help but qbs all of hem tend to try and make plays when they feel that all there is on offense is try and make plays that might not be there..not letting dak completely off the hook but our offense against the rams 18, 21 9ers, and now this 9ers game our OL did NOT show up with a run game.. each loss no run game and very little time to throw.. its pretty pbvious thats the bigger issue. He's been handed one of the best OL in football, Cooper & lamb, prime zeke in 2016 & 2017, Pollard the last two years, better then average coaching for the most part
Granted defense failed him a couple times however he has failed just as miserably
He didn't have his Pro Bowl RB for most of yesterday's game. And when I say “need,” I mean “turn him into a Championship caliber quarterback.”

While doing all of this we need to draft a replacement and be prepared to usher in a new franchise QB. Even if we surround him with loads of talent and the best in coaching, he could easily put on his Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde persona in the playoffs.Needs a security blanket TE. Another bonafide stud receiver opposite Ceedee. A new RB because Zeke is washed and you gotta have multiple to be a winning football team.
A QB coach/offensive coordinator that can rebuild his confidence. He his play varies hot and cold wildly. You can't be a gunslinger and a game manager. I never know what level of play I'm getting out of Dak. Cooper Rush is liked because he is a known quantity. He's not the best in the league-far from it but you know you getting just enough to secure a win if you don't turn it over. With Dak I might get the high flying 30 ppg, the laser TDs, and all that good stuff. I also might get a deflating performance where it looks like an imposter took his jersey.
LOL......the second you minimize Dak's piss poor play and instead blame someone else (the OL in this case) any degree of your objectivity goes out the window.once again our OL got man handled and that why we lost IMO., sure Dak INTs didn't help but qbs all of hem tend to try and make plays when they feel that all there is on offense is try and make plays that might not be there..not letting dak completely off the hook but our offense against the rams 18, 21 9ers, and now this 9ers game our OL did NOT show up with a run game.. each loss no run game and very little time to throw.. its pretty pbvious thats the bigger issue.
need more phycal LG and either Steele back or new RT.. Tyron and Peters are older and cannot be counted on but more for depth swing guys next season.
this OL down the stretch was snot handed a god or great OL its as inconsistent as he is, Run game as inconsistent as he is, = OL is creating this gap of inconsistency's. Dak being blamed for it ..o each thei own what i saw in all 3 playoff losses is no run game, poor pas protection and not enough points, not on Dak himself.
OL needs tweaking sorry thats a fact...be nice to have OC that doesn't run it only 16 times and dont use Davis once pollard leaves. pretty obvious
OL
No run game
OC
Dak
In that order. Dak here to stay a few years more, doesn't needed to be coddled with weapons jst the OL to show up in big games like last years penalty fest no run game, rams no run game, this year much of the same..sorry i see it..whaen you are done blaming the easy target in the QB, see the obvious.
Fans said the same thing about Romo’s who had the same exact 2-4 playoff record. We didn’t win anything with him, but he was one of the better QBs in the league. He gave us a chance every season. The same can be said about Dak. It’s going to be extremely difficult coming up with a better QB than either him or Romo. If we move on from him after his contract, chances are we may end up with a lesser QB unless we get extremely lucky in the draft. it’s going to be very difficult coming up with a better QB. There’s a lot of teams in the league that are going through QB hell. Dak was just coming off a playoff game where he tossed 4 TD passes and had a rushing TD. It’s hard to find a QB that can do that. The big problem with him is he’s become inconsistent and INT prone, and if it continues we’ll have no other choice, but to look for someone else. However, it won’t guarantee better results. Fans are going to complain about every QB we have if they don’t lead us to a Super Bowl. Even had he played great yesterday and we won, if he stunk against Philly next week fans would want to move on from him.Nothing. He's a waste of money and we'll NEVER win with him. Period. Throwing more money at him won't help a bit. Never throw good money after bad.
We had every advantage in this game other than QB play. This loss had nothing to do with coaching. How about a real GM and a real coaching staff? Realistically, what does McCarthy do? Kellen Moore doesn't have the experience to go deep in the playoffs. Dan Quinn, he has experience and his defense SHOWED UP.
Other teams were getting better, stacking talent and hiring a coaching staff based off of their ability and not how much Jerry likes them. We've been singing this same story for 30 years now. It's the FO/GM who also happens to be the owner, and 30 years of failure hasn't sent the message that maybe he should relinquish control
Pollard left the game with an injury with 1:24 remaining in the 1st half.....so Dak had his Pro Bowl RB for almost the entire 1st half yet Dak had thrown an INT earlier in the half which led to a SF FG and then threw his 2nd INT immediately after Pollard went out when Dallas had a 2nd and 2 at the SF 18 which not only cost Dallas 3-7 points but gave SF an eventual FG.......He didn't have his Pro Bowl RB for most of yesterday's game.
"DURRRRR WHAT DO 'MOST' MEAN?"Pollard left the game with an injury with 1:24 remaining in the 1st half.....so Dak had his Pro Bowl RB for almost the entire 1st half yet Dak had thrown an INT earlier in the half which led to a SF FG and then threw his 2nd INT immediately after Pollard went out when Dallas had a 2nd and 2 at the SF 18 which not only cost Dallas 3-7 points but gave SF an eventual FG.......
...but let's make a false statement in saying Dak didn't have his All Pro RB for MOST of the game to generate some BS excuse for how poorly Dak played.
Most is not half and the Dallas defense shut down SF's weapons....but even Parsons said after the game that the 2 Dallas turnovers cost the team the game....aka Dak cost Dallas the game."DURRRRR WHAT DO 'MOST' MEAN?"
He had 1 elite playmaker in the 2nd half. Brock Purdy had 3.
Dak played like garbage, but he also didn't have great weapons to work with. Both things can be true.
You can't be serious! This fundamentally flawed QB isn't taking this team anywhere near a SB, unless he's buying tickets for everyone! This less than mediocre, over hyped, overpaid dude doesn't have the ability to be a decent QB in the league. And when I say “need,” I mean “turn him into a Championship caliber quarterback.”
