Why are they not starting the rookie smith at left guard? Why are they wasting important reps and even messing with his confidence. Get your best 5 set and stop playing around. Where is the head coach. Is he ********? Where is the the aggression and nastiness with the ol???

OL IS SOFT. NO BALLS. let lb steam role zeke in no tackle practice. Denver guy dancing and prancing after ran Zeke over and y’all do nothing!!!! Pathetic. Embarrassing

Also sign 1-2 decent /best ol available and cut crap players you drafted ie Ball - just CAUSE YOU DRAFT SOMEONE DOESNT MEAN THEY ARE GOOD AND SHOULD BE KEPT!!!!!

Above rant aside, the OL is going to hold this team back again. We should have never let go of Collins & we should have upgraded Center and our swing tackle. There we FAs available to shore this thing up.

You are going to see Steele whiffing a lot. Dude cannot handle any speed.

I’ve seen him play all last year. They need see more? You draft someone FIRST ROUND. He gotta play.

"Get your best 5 set and stop playing around."

This is why I asked the question. I don't disagree, although I get the idea that they should expect a first round pick to play. But I don't think they should play him just because he is a first round pick. He needs to earn the job by beating out McGovern. In any case it is a competition which is the right way to handle the situation. Both players will get plenty of reps during the preseason games.

Remeber when Jerry used to say he'd want Lael Collins with him in an alley fight? Well that's gone now, country club Oline is back in effect! Lmao

I've decided to take the position of not giving a damm yet until the season starts. Then let's see who starts and who sits. If McGovern is still the starter, Dallas is in deeper doodoo than we thought on the OL. I agree, McG ain't worth it, he couldn't even beat out CWilliams.

Sad ain’t it. We can see it but they refuse to or are incompetent. When you got Martin and smith your line in theory should be solid - but we aren’t and are soft. Those 2 need toughen up and get some nasty in them asap.

The Cowboys are probably keeping their options open with Tyler Smith.

Suppose they put him at LG and give him all the reps at that position. So what happens if Tyron Smith goes down during the first drive of game #1? they put in Ball? I think not.

They maintain some flexibility if they give Tyler Smith reps at multiple position.

The coaches should not put the five best offensive linemen on the field unless they form the best possible offensive line with potential contingencies for injury.

The bottom line is that, in any case, the five offensive linemen chosen to start will take time to work together as a cohesive unit.

Let's try to look at today in a positive light for the offensive line, indeed the entire team. So long as they work hard to improve, what we see today should be the very worse of what we will see all season long.

Been concerned since the end of last season about the OLIne.
Was hoping it would be addressed in free agency but the cap is a real thing even thought we are 20Mill over.
We have a front office doing their best, but I think they are in over their heads.

Dude, I can be pretty hard on this team but if you regularly follow the Cowboys, you'll know that everything they do during the preseason is vanilla. They aren't showing anything and they really don't do anything. You're getting worked up about practice and before you get all, "GUD TEAMZ PRACTIZE HARDS ALLS DA TIMEZ!!!" on me...No they don't. The CBA pretty much negates that. Plus the Cowboys thrive in a circus type atmosphere and the Broncos are a bit chippy.

Oh lawdy, the sky is falling.

some folks need to get over training camp. What you see is not what you get, it's all about evaluation now. We don't show our offense, the players are most likely working on skills and wins mean nothing.
