This guy's a bit of an enigma to me. He doesn't have much experience at the position and does flash ability but there are times where I think he's overwhelmed and might never get it.

Do you think he's a piece for the future or do we need two new safeties?

I think he's pretty solid but need a bit of work in coverage.

I think they should continue to let him start and learn position but hedge their bet by bringing in more safeties. If he is good enough to keep his position then he earned it.

Set at SS between him and Church, need to find a FS though; I don't know if he can be developed into one and how long would it take. You can't teach instincs but you can teach awareness, but still Id prefer to have someone with the instincts and ability to play FS.

If there's a rangy safety I'm the draft I would take him. Wilcox and Church are basically the same players.

We need a real ball hawk free safety
Then either Church or Wilcox can be the SS

I think he's better as a 3rd safety. I can see CB and FS being a mid-round draft priority

My pet cat. He isn't as good as he needs to eventually be but the arrow is pointing up imo. Start him next year and spend the high picks on trenches.

As we saw in Seattle, as good as the LOB is and they're damn good, they still couldn't beat us because we won in the trenches

Well I've always said we have 2 strong safeties, the position has to be upgraded.

I know we need help on the line, but the secondary needs help also. On pass plays, JJ and Church just shouldn't be out there together.

I think we can ride out his rookie contract. We're not losing (knock on wood) because of him, but I have doubts that he will be a top-shelf player.

When Wilcox plays under control he is a solid player. The problem is he can be too aggressive which leads to poor angles and missed tackles. Not something you want from your last line of defense. Wilcox is improving and has flashed a few times this season (at Philadelphia) but he isn't a consistent player right now. We can win Wilcox but it would be nice to have a free safety who is a solid tackler and can make plays in coverage.

I think we should look in to upgrading this position. I swear at least a few times a game i see him take bad angles which allows big gains and he often doesnt wrap up when be tackles.
