Last off-season the Saints signed DT M.Brown for 5M per (3 years, 15M). That type of signing would be good for the Cowboys this off-season.
Andrew Billings is a guy I have my eye on, and he would probably be cheaper. Still only 23 years old. More limited player than Malcolm, but he should be 3 downer

We have been starting backups players at DT for years. I’m not dissing on them because I like our DTs now for rotational purposes but there’s no way they should be starting every week. It’s past time for some true starting talent on this D line.

Funny thing is that I think after taco went to miami he ended up with as many sacks as D-Law. One was on Dak. Lol. Coaching has to do with some of this. We had no clear leader there.

Agree, there was definitely something unattainable from our perspective on what exactly went down with Taco and that situation, much more to that wasted pick then just Tacos lack of talent, that wasn't the entire story there.

My understanding was taco was on Marinellis bad side and JG. He said or did or didn’t do something. I look forward to having some stability and clear leadership with coaching on the Defense. Hoping we draft well. Looks like maybe a Defense draft.

Signing a DT in free agency is far safer than drafting one. DTs have a high bust rate

Free agency DT market is stacked. Having Hargrave or Vernon Butler are two I’d like but we need to know what scheme we’re going to play before offering an opinion.

We need a couple of alpha’s on defense

get a FS and DT in FA that are alpha’s

we had the chance to get one of the best FS last off season but he went to Baltimore and it’s no surprise their defense is great

Don’t be surprised if they pick up Mike Daniels should be very cheap. Would be just a depth signing and a player who can help other players transition into new scheme.

Very true
And at 17 you don’t get the top guys
I do like kinlaw who has an outside chance of being there
Otherwise I look later and go secondary there

This......if Antwaun Woods is your BACKUP 1T, you’re DL becomes that much stronger.
