I think when this draft is over Dallas will come away with 2-3 solid day one contributors. Frederick strikes me as a player who could be lining up for this team 10 years down the road. I have no problem with where he was taken, but I do have a problem with the compensation received for the trade back. In the end though value and compensation don't line up on Sundays. Frederick will!

Polian also said Landry Jones was the best QB in the draft, he's slipping. I like him but not at 31.

When is Wisconsin's graduation? Or has he already graduated?

I was not completely happy with the trade value and was scratching my head on us not getting Floyd at 18 or Sly Williams a little later (could have been done and still had an extra pick).

However, I do think this team already got batter from what they did yesterday.
Romo gets way too much pressure straight up the middle--which blows up plays before they even get started.
A big, smart, and somewhat versatile center will help.

Just hoping they hit on all three picks today.

Agree with everything there.

Going from Costa to Frederick is like replacing a pitcher with a DH at the plate.

I won't dispute the reach but he's an instant and huge improvement to the team.

Exactly how I feel. Costa has pretty much single-handedly ruined our OL two years straight IMO.

And I think the reach was kind of out of our control--with the run on OL early.

If we traded down again to get good value, we probably miss out on the last top OL prospect left. And then we're truly in Jason Williams 2009 territory again.

They didn't get cute, and just took their top guy. Not flashy at all but necessary. ,

Now if we can get Warford, and pick up Clabo, you think our line will be greatly improved?

Landry Jones could be but he just lacks something. Nothing physically. He's just doesn't have any charisma or moxy about him and it shows up in his play.

Parcells would probably love Landry Jones.

I'm just hoping Frederick turns out to be solid. From what i've seen and what my gut tells me I think he'll be a liability if he doesn't get quicker.

But hey.. If Demarco Murray can turn into a power back than why can't Frederick turn into a more agile interior lineman?

We aren't going from Costa to Frederick. We're going to Bernadeau to Frederick. The guy is gonna play guard, not center. That is, as long as Costa is healthy.

From what i've seen of Frederick I really hope this is the case.

He looks like a better player in 2011 @ guard than he does in 2012 @ center.

And what if Fredrick doesn't surplant Costa at center and is starting as right Guard, then what will be your take...that would make the trade and pick a disaster

Um, how is landing a starting guard and a high third a "disaster?" Goodness people.

20 Yard Shuttle-
Travis Frederick 4.76
Jonathan Cooper 4.84
Menelik Watson 5.01
Larry Warford 5.10

3 Cone Drill-
Jonathan Cooper 7.78
Travis Frederick 7.81
Kyle Long 7.83
Menelik Watson 8.31

He's as quick as cooper. Just doesn't have the 40 time and I could care less about that.
