hell i remember when having a 4mb machine meant you had the ram man! breaking the 1mb barrier was something and
one of the most useless skills i have today is optimizing the 640-1024 area of the first 1mb. in my microsoft training class i won that contest with a frame=e000 reference.
I love it. Applause!
We are part of the evolution/revolution/2.0, 3.0 .... welcome to the future life and times lol
Not-so-useless skill from the "advent" of the "smart phone"...
So... I held off on getting smart phone. They weren't that great to start and were somewhat gimmicky. I wasn't paying for the smart phone until it was "good"...
I held on to first Motorola Razr. Still love that phone.
I had gotten the Razr in 2005.
In 2007 the first iPhone came out.
I was still using the Razr in 2009.
Friends and clients were bragging about their smart phone and laughing that I had an "old Razr".
So circa 2008-09 they were saying you need a smart phone because you don't get email.
I said I get email on my flip Razr.
They doubted.
I said send me an email and I will get it faster than you will on your smart phone.
At the time it really wasn't force or push email. They had to wait.
So they send me email,
My Razr chimes,
I said there it is.
They say... HOW DO YOU GET EMAIL ON A FRIGGIN RAZR???
LOL
I had forwarded my real email address to my Verizon
2125551212@vztxt.net
So it came in on my text messages.
They sorta felt cheated and angry.
I still get a kick out of that. Heh heh
