Sluggish offense for the first 6-8 games. Blame it on the injury or that he doesn't play pre season games etc. if Dak can stay healthy and if they get really lucky they might win 8 games.

Lol Dak was in the elite conversation in 21 and 23. That is the difference, in case you forgot the not too distant past.
If Dak was in the elite conversation in 21 and 23, then Kirk has to be in there as well as their numbers were near identical.

Kirk team was probably mediocre. But Kirk individually wasn't mediocre.

But he wasn't.

How can Kirks team be mediocre when he has Kevin O'Connell? I would take O'Connell over McCarthy easily. He's obviously not that good if he went 4-4 before he was hurt and the Vikings had no problems going with JJ McCarthy or Sam Darnold over him lol.

If you go just by numbers.. you'd have to put Jimmy Garoppolo, Kyler Murray, and Geno Smith over Josh Allen and Justin Herbert lol. Jimmy is FAR better than Herbert in the playoffs and he has an argument for being better than Allen too.

What to expect? His legs are shot, and not getting lighter...no RB on the roster...no healthy WR1 as of right now and no WR2...can argue no established TE1....no backup QB...question marks on the OL....does anybody see this getting better?

You didn't say team. You said Kirk himself. Kirk himself had the same production as Dak. Therefore if Kirk was mediocre, so as Dak. Kirk will never win anything in this league and neither will Dak. If we had a real coach or GM, they likely would replace Dak themselves and wouldn't think twice about it.

I will bet you nobody will replace Dak. Dak has had an excellent reputation in the league for 8 years now. He had a unanimously praised rookie year. Was in the eltie conversation in 2021. Up and down in 2022 but showed up in all the big games but just couldn't quite get over the superior 49ers. MVP conversation in 2023. Kirk has never reached those kinda highs.

People jump off the Dak bandwagon in the playoffs but he has enough support for what he's done in the regular season to remain as the franchise quarterback on most teams. Most franchises don't have delusional fans like the Cowboys lol thinking their delusional thoughts of glory are rralistic.

Kirks numbers are better than most people's. Including lots of QBs in the elite column. Stop the false equivalences.

Given Prescott has already missed 10 more games than the supposed made of glass Tony Romo after both started 9 seasons, I think Prescott is a couple more hits away from retirement. His body is broken. Dude can't even rush for a few yards without tearing his hamstring off the bone for goodness sake.

Dak Prescott in 2021
68.8% completion percentage
4,449 yards
37 TDs 10 INTs

Kirk Cousins in 2021
66.3% completion percentage
4,221 yards
33 TDs 7 INTs

You say one is elite and the other is mediocre? Make that make sense. He has an excellent reputation in the league as did Kirk which is why a team that was in the conference title the year prior signed him. Congrats on Dak getting in MVP consideration even though he got no first place votes and he was the first loser in the race. That's the highest Dak will ever achieve in this league I guess. Yay!

Literally depends on coaching.

If it's MM, no one should expect anything different.

If it's an equally castrated yes man, no one should expect anything different.

I expect nothing more than we've already seen......Actually I just expect more disappointment and excuses.......I wish we would have just moved on from the bum QB.......

We could have seen what we had in Lance and maybe gave him a chance to grow......but our all knowing all intelligent front office decided to play all world Cooper Rush instead.......

great future to look ahead too.....

Hopefully he's fully healed and ready to go. The accountability aspect has to be on an all time high, he finished 2024 poorly.

Time to put you pedal forward and get us deep in the playoffs or the Superbowl! Please give your thoughts

Lol, this should be good. Will sit this one out.

I expect Dak to be the same. I expect Cowboys’ fans to mention ”Jimmy Johnson” every chance they get like that idiot has anything to do with anything.
