My suggestions....

On offense.....

1. Mix it up on first down. This stubborn idea of running the football on 1st down..... just didn't work the 1st time out because the Eagles knew we were coming. We have to @ least gotta give them the impression we are willing to throw it to keep them off balance.

2. More quick hitting passes. Slant passes...where have you gone?

On defense....

1. Gotta get out of this zone D. letting Sanchez pick us apart....I don't think I can sit through another episode of this. Thanksgiving was bad enough.

2. Gotta keep containment on the QB on the QB/RB stretch option run. Defensive ends Spencer and Selvie really got sucked in on those.

3. Gotta bring more heat from the blitz. I expect to see Scandrick have a huge game coming out of the slot on the blitz. Seahawks exposed this today...they are vulnerable there.

4. Stop the run game. I think having Brent this game is gonna be huge. McClain got abused last time out. They are not gonna push Brent around.

Will be interesting to see how this game will be refereed. Eagles always seemed to get the crucial calls or "no calls". Hard to beat 2 teams when they are both against you...If you know what I mean.o_O

I'm expecting the same game-plan honestly with more middle being thrown in. Our coaches may rely on the fact that it might have been a fluke on the short week.

I can live with that offensively, but the defense needs a different approach. More man and blitzes, have to keep Sanchez busy and not just once a series either.

We need to play ball control, the less time their offense is on the field, the better.....so keep running and use short routes, screens and slants. Throw a deep ball on occasion to keep them honest.

If it turns into a shoot-out, let Romo and Co. loose and hope for the best because our defense will have no shot if we get FG's rather than TD's.

Our defense needs to tackle and create turnovers. Shady and their receivers do a lot of damage by breaking tackles at the point of attack. If we tackle and not let the get RAC yards then we get off the field and our offense can dominate. Hopefully Marinelli will also develop a better overall scheme since he got his butt handed to him coaching wise the first game. I want to see some pride from our coaches and players wanting revenge for thanksgiving.

Contain, gap assignments, drop the linenbackers in coverage and hide Wilcox. rent.

So. Pretty much everything.

Not being smart asz, but you're right.

Everything was bad including Romo and the play calling.

BOTH sides of the ball.

Rush the passer and tackle better. The Cowboys will not win if they don't do those two things. The Seahawks were oustanding tackling today.
Agreed. Tackling is so underrated. Dallas was horrid with that against the eagles.

Defense:

Hold the gaps and make McCoy feel every yard. Press corners and send some DB blitzes as well. Patmon should be back this week so I wouldn't mind seeing Scandrick in the backfield. In fact on the first play I'd send him in on a blitz.

Offense:

We need to continue our run first attack and give our line a shot at redemption. We need to use more qk screens and continue to look for Beasley.

Overall we need to go out and fight for everything. With over a week of rest we should tighten up some of our mistakes from Thanksgiving.

Agree on the tackling. We couldn't tackle to save our life on Thanksgiving. This may be the biggest thing we need to improve on....period

Offensively, our line must win the point of attack and allow our running game to control the pace of the game. I don't think we win that game with 40 pass attempts, and I don't think we win with the running game neutralized.

Philly is best at speeding up the game, while we're best at slowing it down. We'll see if our talent and style of play are good enough.

Totally agree. To me, it was our biggest defensive liability against Washington, as well. Even without a pass rush, we're pretty serviceable on defense -- but only when we tackle well. As soon as we start giving up extra yards, and more importantly extra first downs, via missed tackles, our lack of talent and pass rush get exposed.

Our offensive line must play with an attitude. I feel they allowed themselves to be pushed around too much. If we control the pace by running the ball, we will win.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is:

If it begins to look shaky early, Garrett can not play afraid to lose, they will have to open up the can and go toe-to-toe, be aggressive.

The biggest thing is that the offensive line allowed their defense to do pretty much what they wanted to. If you don't stop that then its going to be a repeat of that last game. This line shouldn't be letting itself get pushed around by a good but not great defensive line.

On defense you can't let a 3 yard pass go for 30. You can't win games if you do that more then once a game.

If the defense plays better we will win. Romo is going to be as rested and healthy as he has been all season. The Oline and Dez will be fired up and focused.

I fully expect 30+ points from the offense.

They won't win, so whatever changes they make will probably be in vain. Just don't have good enough coaches or talent.

Be physical, run the ball, score TDs not FGs and defense hustle and tackle well , hit the finesse players at any chance they get , pass rush even if didnt get there hit the QB when possible . Hope it disturbs their rhythm and then it will work out
