What coach would even want to come here to start over?

Maybe that’s true for fans. But we’re talking about what’s best for the Cowboys, not the fans. Isn’t that what the owner of this team should be doing? What’s best for the team?
Cone on now. Jerry Jones is gonna do what Jerry Jones wants to do. He's not stepping aside and he's not getting rid of Dak. He does not care about what anyone on here wants if their opinion differs from his. The premise of this being sold as a rebuild is asinine.

Aren‘t the best coaches the ones who expect to have full control?
Out of 32, How many do though?

Belichick was the defacto GM in NE
Anyone else?
Sean Payton and Andy Reid aren't even GM

I'm not sure anyone is now, but might be missing one.

This thread is dumb. This isn't a rebuild. The Jones' aren't going anywhere and neither is Dak. The sooner that's accepted the better off you guys will be.
I think my thread went over your head the irony of you calling it dumb when you don’t even understand it lol.

Honestly I could see them going after BB as a way to try and sell the fanbase that under him, the defense will be so good that Dak will be good enough to win with. Some suckers here will jump all over that lollipop.
Bellicheat is cooked….. but I might rather have him then Mike.

Didn't even hit me until now. I guess you could bring Mike back. But how enticing is this job if you are selling a rebuild? A rebuild with Jerry of all people?

I've been banging the drum of start over from scratch......what coach would even want to come here to start over?
Only those who couldn’t get a job elsewhere.

True. The Jones' are going to stay in control and Dak will be back.

This thread didn't go over anyone's head. How can I put this?... This isn't a rebuild. You can't sell it as rebuild. You'd have to trade away a ton of talent to put us in the "rebuild category". And if you did that then the answer is....the same retread HCs, former HCs that proved themselves as coordinators again, and the newest batch of guys trying to get their first HC gig. The HC candidates that don't have many options wont turn down a job here bc of Jerry. The top HC candidates that have options wouldnt come here if you tear it down regardless of Jerry bc they want the best roster/picks.

Not gonna matter unless he is in charge of the team and not Jerry Jones.

Honestly speaking if our FO can convince a HC candidate that this is a rebuild then you shouldn't want them anyways. If Dak retired tomorrow this wouldn't be a rebuild.

If we don't get Harbaugh or some tough minded coach like Demeco Ryans I may not even watch next year. If the team stays in tact I'm done.

Coaching here is not about winning. It's about getting paid, being on a big stage, for some it's about being seen to get a chance to be a HC again. They want to win but when you look at how the front office works they know they won't.
