I don’t want to trade him….

I’m also not wild about signing him for what he is likely to get.

Moot. Jerry would never let a player like this leave. He sells merchandise.

I'm amazed at this fan base and how we complain about not having players and when we get them it's either trade them or don't pay them with yall lol just wow
Valid point, but reality is the Cowboys are going to struggle to keep everyone. Over the next two years it becomes very possible that Lamb, Diggs, Parsons, Dak all end up with top contracts at their position. Then you have additional questions about Pollard, Schultz who may both end up with contracts making top 5 money at the position plus free agents like LVE and Wilson this year.

I'm not saying you move Diggs, but I am saying you look at ways to improve the team and cant be afraid of moving a star player under the right circumstance. If a team offers up a 1st and a 3rd does that make the Cowboys better or worse? Maybe, but probably not. What if moving Diggs clears up future cap money to sign a Daron Payne in free agency in addition to those draft picks? Now we may have something....of course we are dependent upon this front office to capitalize on a move like this which people dont have a lot of confidence in.

Our fanbase is hilarious. Haven’t had a legit corner in years and we want to trade an All-Pro. Great idea!
But we could get a first lol
You are right, fans aren’t very logical. Two of our starting CB from this season won’t be back or won’t likely start the season. So let’s trade our best CB for a pick we can then use to draft a CB who is likely not to be as good lol

Y’all got y’all’s ballhawking corner now you want Byron Jones type again?

Diggs is legit and a playmaker. Stop trying to get rid of him.

He shut down Justin Jefferson up in Minnesota this year.

I know he has his bad moments but so what.
Pretty much this

I don't think Stephen has the creativity to sign Lamb, Parsons and Diggs while Dak makes over $40M. Who's the most expendable of the bunch? Also, if they're not willing to pay him Top 3 CB money they might as well trade him while there's a good CB draft.

So what cost us the game in the most important play against San Fran. Do some of y’all actually think before your type or talk in real life? I know the answer is no but have to ask.

Yeah, I don't want to trade Diggs, but I would for the right price.

Because he blew it twice in the most important game of the year.

To answer the OPs question, I’d guess a high 2nd or low 1st. He’s going to need to get paid as well so that will factor into what a team would be willing to give up.

I’d be open to the deal if I knew they’d pour some quality money and resources into moving up for an elite tackle, or buying a very good tackle in free agency. I’d gladly trade stronger middle of the D line improvement with not having elite CB play.

I’d of course prefer both.

He might have had 11 INTs 2 years ago but he flat out quit on this team when they needed him the most in order to get an early start on his contract hold out. You don't get to act the way he did with only 3 picks to your name. If you think you can win with players that put themselves ahead of the team then by all means back up the Brinks truck.

Diggs is frustrating with how soft he is but he’s definitely not one of the main problems on defense. DT/LB/CB should be the focus and not trading away our best corner.
