At the NFL level you shouldn't have to in that situation. If you don't know what to do in that scenario you shouldn't be playing.

Working in college athletics myself it shows me someone who doesn't understand his surroundings. That play is linked to why it's taken so long to see any glimpses of Hope from him. He's not one who naturally picks up on new concepts and thinks what he's done at Boise will work in the NFL.

It was a really bad mistake, but I think the defensive coaches should have drilled it into his head prior to the drive.

Screamed in triumph with the fumble, then yelled "get down, just get down" as he lost the ball. Then buried my face in my hands and moaned, very quietly, noooooooooo . . .

Felt much better on the 4th down sack, fumble recovery.

Jumped off the couch about 3 feet into the air yelling a bunch of expletives in mid air, upon landing I continued my tirade and almost passed out.......literally. It was then I realized id better sick back down and take a chill pill.

My ten year old boy and seven year old daughter were yelling get down. When he didn't and fumbled, we were all yelling at him. I was on the phone to another zoner and was saying he needed to get a strip sack. At least the kids are high IQ at football. That was almost catastrophic.

Holy heck I'm glad they redeemed themselves a few plays later.

I said a lot of things, none of them can be repeated here. Then I texted HoustonSucks and told her that if DLaw didn't get a sack fumble I might have to hate him forever. On some level he must have known.

Ironically I was saying if he is good, he will redeem himself. I understood how inexperience he is.

I was at my boys house.(We are like family)

I slapped the **** out of couch. Then proceeded to almost flip over this huge game board his family was using. I had my hands under it, and was ready to flip. Just took a deep breathe and said screw it. Proceeded to curse instead. There was a laptop next to me,I had to move away.

Funny thing is, I was calm before a game, and through the whole game, even when bad **** was happening. I don't know what flipped inside of me.

:thumbup:There were so many boneheaded mistakes throughout the game (that fumble rec being one of the worst). I just hope that was a game that we were due for mistakes and got it out of our system.
We have been playing with very discipline but this game was ugly in all phases. I give cred to Detroit esp for their blitz pkgs and hope GB will not have too much material to use with some of those blitzes because Romo's head was spinning.
Meanwhile we should feel somewhat good about pulling a win out of such a poor performance but lets get back on to playing SMART football.
