What Do You Do With Randall Cobb?

It’s okay for short yardage but you’re taking away the deep threat. Teams wouldn’t back off as much. Even if they don’t keep Cobb I’d like a slot WR who can get downfield with some size.
I'm of the opposite thinking in our situation. Imo what we lacked was the chain mover - we were built to be a ball control team - not fling it around. We used to have Wit running the option route and Beez getting open quickly underneath, we had neither this year and it showed.

Too many times this year I saw us throwing the ball down field on 3rd and 3s.

First year with Dak. So he should just get better if we keep him next season. Minus big money I don't see why we shouldn't. IMO

You can draft a slot receiver or find a free agent. He was good in a few games but it's not like he's irreplaceable...Lots of drops like most of the team

If the money is right I'll sign him back ,very serviceable. He left a lot of plays on the field. If money isn't right then you can get slot in draft 2 or 3 Rd

Cobb in my opinion was an upgrade over Beasley. I would re-sign him on another one year deal at the right price (if possible).

Not to stray off topic, but McCarthy as a potential HC could convince Cobb to stick around here at a team-friendly cost, too.

for what Bease was demanding yes, BIFF way overpaid.. Cobb had less catches for more yards and obviously a much bigger YPC avg.. basically made bigger plays..Bease was chain mover like witten but not typically making big plays..

I mean when you have gallup and Coop over 1k and cobb has over 800 yards on 55 catches , his production was making up for a lower TE output.it balanced the offense out. its pretty crazy we came close to having 3 1k WRs and a 1400 yard RB..thats like greatest show on turf numbers... most likely why they finished First as an offense.

More scoring is all we lacked in the bigger games..

Depends on price. Would love to keep him, but only if his price tag stage in the range of what he was paid this season.

Cooper and Cobb are both free agents. Cooper will want $14-$16M/year hence why I suggested re-signing Cobb and finding another #2 to partner with Gallup on the outside.

Cooper has enough value that we use a franchise tag on him if we really want to keep him. He's ours for a year if we want him.
