McCarthy is mostly adopting Moore's offenseThe west coast offense will be better for Dak.
Two space waters in front of LVE and Smith will help them out.
Special teams will definitely be better.
Our secondary is really the only area of question on this team. If we fix that during the draft we could make some noise in the next couple of years.
We don't need Dak to be perfect if we have a great defense and a great run game.
What can we expect from this Cowboys team the next 3 years?
There is no question this team is built around the QB/RB/WR who are 27/25/25 coming into this year. They should all be into their primes for the next 3 years — what can we expect?
I’m so scarred by Jason Garrett’s consistent inexcusable mistakes that caused this team could never get out of its own way. Basic decisions such as time management, critical situation calls, and special teams have plagued our seasons.
I believe our range of results is wide depending on McCarthy, health, and roster additions from the draft. I’m an optimist at heart, but it’s hard to get away from thinking more 8-8 or 9-7, fringe playoff seasons, maybe one special 12-4/13-3 season with a disappointing playoff loss.
If we are a Super Bowl contender, it will be because of McCarthy’s superiority over Garrett.
yes it has been a long time since this team excelled. My worry is that Dak had his chance , especialy the last 2 years and he continued to regress. he is 1-6 last year against winning teams, despite a top RB , WR, OL . He could not carry the team in one game . Now he wants 37+ mil . And jerry may actually pay that ...
No doubt about that. The talent is definitely worse with Jones and Frederick gone and the OL getting to be past their prime. And it's not like Elliott is going to improve the more hits he takes. If we are a Super Bowl contender, it will be because of McCarthy’s superiority over Garrett.
agree , i have been criticized to say the least but many support the Dak regression analysis . Many still see him as a top notch QB . I see him as mediocre and padding numbers and stats behind a top OL , RB , WR. with no results on the field. many teams have figured him out completely ( New England , NO , Bills. and even a mediocre Eagles defense held him at the end with no TD.Ahem, honest posts are subject to negative personal insults/criticism. You may be debated by skewed statistical data that in no shape or form disproves one single point that you made here. You will probably be called names.
As for me, I guess I watched the same thing you did and agree with ya.
an have a very Special QB play , not a bus driver who folds against good defenses. No doubt about that. The talent is definitely worse with Jones and Frederick gone and the OL getting to be past their prime. And it's not like Elliott is going to improve the more hits he takes.
They'll have to hit home runs in the draft to catch up.
This makes no sense to me at all. 8-8 doesn't make sense either really. But 6-10? No way the Cowboys lose 10 games this year.6-10 this year.
agree, sadly many think dak can be the difference maker at QB , i don't see it. He regressed and last year was 1-6 against good teams. No expectations with Dak leading the way. I doubt we will win the division at anytime over the next 4 years, maybe make the expanded playoffs....maybe.

I honestly expect the Eagles to walk Cowboys around field for next few years. I hate this because its been too long for storied franchise like Cowboys to be out-worked in every phase for what feels like two decades. The silver lining is if McCarthy fails then I think you see the apple drop and Stephan brings in real GM. Right now the narrative around league is Cowboys is great place to get paid because of all of the attention. It used to be place players went to for W's and SBs.
Not a lot of winning and a whole lot of talk about Leadership.
Yeah, well thought out and articulatedYep. Nice post.
