What do you see Randy Gregory's market value being

10 - 12 mil a year ..... Depending on how this year ends up ....... Unless he starts getting 2 sacks a game for the rest of the year.

Looks like Randy could around $13M-$15M. Looking at the group, I must say DLaw has the best agent in Football. #90 salary could pay RG, a Safety (Kearse), and a NT.

No home town discounts.. Gregory has to cash out on his next deal.
I dont think there will be any home town discounts, but I can see him giving some flexibility in the structure of the contract if we are willing to pay him. AAV is always a fake number. I can see him giving us some flexibility if we are willing to give 35 to 40 guarenteed.

He looks to be primed to post double digit sacks this season. Given that he is a free agent, what do you think his market value is. Not "home town discount" value " or "take this much, or he can kick rocks" value, his actual market value
If he gets 12 sacks and continues to play like he is playing.. hes gonna get a 100 million dollar deal. He is young and just entering his prime years.

Isn't that the premise? That he continues to dominate? Otherwise why bother with the thread?
Zero chance you get him for anywhere near $10M if he continues like this.
yes WAY WAY WAY early

we have nothing to work with until his 2021 body of work are complete..thats for him and the other 17 FAs or UDFAs or coaching decisions. all of it premature.

too many variables.

SO,

yes im saying that straight up stupid thread just like the MM needs to be replaced by Moore posts :)) what choo gonna do about it mang,.?

all the talk on 2022 rosters are so early they dont deserve to be left up..lucky im not mod id delete them all save server space :):muttley::thumbup:

Too inconsistent at this point to call. He has flashed before and then disappeared.

Get Lawrence back and then take a look at that tandem.
Inconsistent??? Nah, only suspensions have slowed him down.

in 2019 he was a beats in the playoffs. He just needs to play an entire season, but if he continues to draw holds and make huge impact plays, he is gonna get paid big time.

I mean, the guy doesn't have one year on his resume that shows he's a top pass rusher. Until he does I wouldn't even consider paying him.
why doesnt he have 1 year on his resume? Suspensions for something that is no longer tested for. He has not once shown he is anything other than a team player. Now add into, what has been up to this point one of the most explosive edge rushers in the game.... hes gonna get paid, and not no 4 year 60 million either.

I think it's 1 or 2 year continue to prove it deal. Probably in the 8 to 12 million range.
you are talking what you would love for us to get him for... not the reality of a league starving for a player with his explosiveness AND a salary cap thats about to go up big time.

no he wont too many demons and past issues he

might get 15 year on a nice heavily structured deal where he can earn more of it by stats and games played but will lose 100% of it with another sisupension..no way hes getting 100mil without many clauses and structured, tiered bonus etc.

hes high risk player..

if that is his demanded asking price,

im waving goodbye and dont want to hear one fan in here complain we let him walk, ill be in your faces. RG a nice player , seems like a nice guy but hes not the kind of layer you risk a 100mil on..Id rather draft a 1st round stud to replace him.

quin had what 15 sacks and we let him walk, hes been pretty solid since ..having a nice year now.. i mean 100mil no way unless it 5 yrs 100mil with 50 guaranteed and the other have to be earned through escalators and many clauses to protect the Cowboys franchise..

I can definitely see him getting hit with the franchise tag a couple times if he gets into the double digits for sacks. It would keep him working hard, keeping his head on straight, and paying him big money. That would put him at 31 years old after the end of the second tag, at which point you might be able to get him cheaper due to his age or let him go if he isn't performing. Who knows though, Jerry might throw a 4 year deal at him which would probably be in the 17mil a year range.

well if we deleted all of the "Unnecessary," threads on this board, there would be no threads.

I would honestly be shocked if he wasn't back in Dallas next year. Maybe we over pay, maybe we don't, but given everything, I just don't see their being a ton of interest league wide in signing him to a big deal

Sound reasonable.

I think it will come down to how much teams weigh Gregory's "NFL Issues". If they don't care, I think they would view 15/16M as a bargain. If they do care, 15/16M is a risky investment.
His issues all revolved around a drug that the league isnt testing for.

That wont be an issue at all IMO.

I see Im still in your head rent free. You cant get enough of my stuff

He came into this season with 10.5 sacks in 38 career games.

So, no, suspensions have nothing to do with it.

The impact he has made on the Cowboys defense is remarkable. He continues at the same pace this year he can expect some big bucks. I mean:

I would think he would be a top 5 free agent if he made it that far, which means beaucoup bucks
