What does Brandin Cooks do exactly?

I realize that it's only been two (2) games for him, but so far I've seen nothing more out of him than that of a decent #3 possession WR. All we heard all summer from training camp was what a Speed Demon he was....I've seen none of that thus far. I'm curious why he's not constantly running wide open given all his reported "speed" and the attention Lamb gets???

Don't think he's a great pair with what McCarthy wants to do on O. Between McCarthy's play calls and Dak's issues we don't stress teams down the field other than the occasional jump ball like we saw today.

I hate to say it, but he’s acting like a completely different player. But go back and look at all his targets and ask yourself why. He literally gets killed on every throw. Even when he was open today did you see how he braces for a hit for like 5 yds? Not sure if that’s his position or scheme or lack of trust in Dak or what. CeeDee does well because the dude just takes hit like a psycho and keeps going

That’s what happens when you join the Cowboys. The culture changes you. It’s happened to players before.

He can be effective. Cause eventually teams are gonna cheat up to stop the run and quick passes..we need a deep threat.

Dak doesn’t throw further than 7 yards past the line
It ain't all Dak. The OC's system is a lot of short stuff too. There was a 2nd and 8 in the 2nd half and Dak threw short and people in the game thread were complaining but then they showed replay and all four receivers literally all ran 5 yard routes. It happens a lot.

You have an OC that probably doesn't trust his QB all that much on downfield throws and then an OC who isn't all that great himself and what you get is what you see. A fairly pedestrian offense that seemingly can churn up yards with an open field but in a compressed situation, they simply don't have the QB or playcaller to make it work.

He, like the rest of this team, does a whole bunch of nothing except collect a check and act like clowns wearing football gear on the field.
And you keep watching them and putting yourself thru hell? LOL!
Some of you are gluttons for punishment, you constantly hate on the team, Dak, MM, Jerry etc....but, yet here you are every week, like clockwork. I don't get....but, to each his own, I guess. Keep watching and keep lining Stephen's inheritance.

He would have had an one handed touchdown catch if his qb would not have led him out of bounds.
