What does Brandin Cooks do exactly?

He's the low hanging fruit personnel acquisition Jerry and Stephen used to fool the fan base into thinking we were going to be in unbeatable. And it worked. Again.

Don't think he's a great pair with what McCarthy wants to do on O. Between McCarthy's play calls and Dak's issues we don't stress teams down the field other than the occasional jump ball like we saw today.
MM is trying to adapt his west coast offense but Dak isn’t exactly Aaron Rodgers or Brett Farvre. This offense requires a QB with pin point accuracy and that’s not Dak. So MM is calling more running plays to protect the ball. It worked for the most part but the offense continues to stall in the red zone. Not sure how you fix that with Dak at QB. Garret couldn’t. Moore couldn’t. And so far MM hasn’t fixed it either.

Have you watched the tape on the plays....it'll be interesting to get the 'pro' analyst takes.
You can do the research if you would like...you seem to have the answer. Share it with us you would like. But all I've seen thus far in two (2) games is a few 1st downs on 8-10 yard safe come back and sit down routes....nothing any number #3 couldn't do. Q: Are we ever going to go after some WR's with real size? BTW, I'd like to see some Brooks....he made the roster, so play him.

Maybe not calling running blacks the first two downs 100% of the time in the red zone?

We actually had one of the best red zone offenses under Kellen Moore. Moore's problem was getting too cute and pass happy. Mike's problem is playing super conservative ball which WON'T work if you're behind.

I realize that it's only been two (2) games for him, but so far I've seen nothing more out of him than that of a decent #3 possession WR. All we heard all summer from training camp was what a Speed Demon he was....I've seen none of that thus far. I'm curious why he's not constantly running wide open given all his reported "speed" and the attention Lamb gets???
he doesnt really fit the offense mike is using, and mike isnt calling go routes or deep routes much.
He would actually fit kellens offense better.
This is what happens when the HC designing the offense and calling plays isnt getting the right players for his new offense.
To jerry a wr is a wr lol.

I don't see him getting separation downfield like we expected.

Dallas ranked 27th in the red zone last year so I don’t know what you are watching. Our red zone struggles is the primary reason we got rid of Moore.

The offense isn't pushing the ball downfield vertically, and that's where Cooks is effective. Dallas are gonna have to get chunk plays and attack the defense. McCarthy is playing it safe, but he has to let Dsk sink or swim if he wants to win big.

Cooks has been fine and is far from being the reason the offense sputtered yesterday.

When you have a bum at QB,what do you expect him or any receivers to do..I just pray he doesn't get any of them hurt with those 10 ft high passes like the one he threw to ceedee,I thought he broke his neck when he got turnstiled on his way down.

Just a few weeks ago everybody was so excited about Cooks.
.
We didn't see him in preseason games, barely saw him in training camp. But he has that speed...
Those who saw him in short and T-shirt were all in love with the raw speed.
Moral of the story: all that physical skills doesn't mean a damn thing if your QB is a mental case and can't throw you the damn ball.
.
Oh, and we all know that preseason games are unnecessary if you're a veteran, even if you've never played a down of a football game with your new QB.

He’s a downfield threat that on this team, is no threat at all.

Told everyone getting rid of Amari Cooper was the worst Jerry Dumbo GM Jones move since passing on Randy Moss.

This is BS. Dude doesn't even know what happened last year for the Cowboys.
