Pending any suspensions of course and for how long is all part of the discussion.

Most of all what are the effects without him in the lineup?

I think at most Zeke will get a 1-2 game suspension, so I don't see this derailing the season.

2 games at the most. Well be fine, Dak has the most wr weapons since being here, and Pollard has breakaway speed, Weber too runs in th 4.4s.

Last year it would have been problematic to lose Elliott, because we had zero talent behind him and very little in terms of offensive weapons and offensive originality/innovation.

I think if Pollard and Weber are healthy they would be an improvement over Smith. Some of the rookie WRs have serious burner speed. If Kellen Moore can do ANYTHING original at all it would be an improvement over Linehan. Moreover, Dak has some skills too if the OC will just let him use them.

We might win 11 games even without Zeke if everyone else stays healthy.

Some of it will be up to Dak to step up. Some of it will be up to the back up RBs to be able to step in and produce. They don't need to be able to produce at Zeke's level, but we do have to have success in running the ball. It's also on the coaches to be able to adapt and it will be dependent on how the backups perform. Zeke is a beast with yards after contact, that will be tough for a backup to replicate. Most likely, we can't just just run between the tackles and expect those extra "tough yards" that Zeke could get. It may mean attacking the edges more often, more misdirection, more motion, more counters, etc. Maybe utilizing them more in a short passing game and not just as check downs.

The team will struggle if we can't establish a consistent running game or way to effectively use our RBs. That's not unique to the Cowboys, it happens to almost every team.

Well it would affect the passing game because that would be something DC would not have to game plan for and drop more people in the passing lanes. So yes this would hurt because there would be no respect for the run.

If the NFL does investigate and find he is guilty of conduct unbecoming, because of his previous infraction, they could go more than a couple of games. They could really throw the book at him because he would be a repeat offender and that is exactly the kind of guy they don't want around. These guys that screw up a second time, do not get much slack.

Don't think of this as the "crime" but as the repeat offender part of this. Is that fair, no, I do not think so but once a player has done time, he's on notice that there's no mercy the next go around.

And forget that security guard, look at the manner in which he's approaching the woman. There's not a woman that would not think that is pure intimidation.

Ehhhh they're fine. Both had 6th round grades by me.

RB depth is definitely not a strong suit. Which if there's one position that you want to say it about it is RB.

Disagree when considering what we have blocking up front for them. Don't know why you don't like Pollard.

What we have blocking up front has no correlation to the talent we have back there.

Pollard is an over drafted 4th round rookie. Played the 3rd most snaps at his position on his own team(and his teammates aren't world beaters). Good special teams player. But if we are comparing to other NFL team, we have some of the worst RB depth in the league.

What we have up front means nothing in regards to the talent we have in the back. Completely separate topics.

Pollard is a good special teamer. But on a team that isnt exactly stacked with talent, having the 3rd most snaps at your position doesnt exactly make anyone giddy. All except one of his big gains were designed sweep plays for Pollard to get him out in space, with only one being between the tackles in which he had to break a tackle and then beat one man. Not exactly what you want from a lead back haha.

But we agree, with our beefy guys up front, it doesnt really matter all that much the talent level at RB.

Will look like what we had with Joseph Randall, lots of meat on the bone, with skidded up underwear.
Yeah, I remember all those posters screaming how losing Murray and replacing him w/ underoos and oldie was an improvement!!!! And after being proven grossly wrong, here they are screaming again!!!!! Talk about not learning from history!!!!
