What does Dak have to work on this offseason?

He needs to work on pretty much everything. Unfortunately it's the things that he can't work on that will get you. His unsustainable interception rate. His receivers unsustainable drop rate. The unsustainable play and health of many of his teammates. The team's unsustainable record in close games. The year to year variability of the schedule. All of these things contribute to even really good players and having up and down years. Tom Brady followed up his 4 interception season in 2010 with 12 the next year. Peyton Manning followed up his 49 TD season in 2004 with "only" 28 TDs. Neither player got worse. Their play just wasn't sustainable.

I'd have to disagree to an extent. I don't want him running all the time, but on short yardage situations, it would be nice to have them roll him out more so a short run is a legitimate option.
His running puts the defense in a tough situation...this is a new and key element for the offense. The Cowboys haven't had this threat in many, many years.

Let's hope Arron Rodgers play isn't sustainable!!!:banghead:

Climbing up the pocket. He has little issue moving laterally and making the throw, but when he makes a bad throw it usually is when he's climbing up into the pocket. Needs to get a little more air on deep fade/deep go routes. Better anticipation on deep fades and deep corner routes. He'll need to figure out how to beat a defense that shows a lot of pre-snap movement and exotic blitzes like the Giants do and how the Eagles did in game 1.

I would want him to keep his body in the same shape and look. While I don't want him being a runner, I still want him to be a threat to run and to make things difficult for the defense on both RPO's and bootlegs. So I still want him fairly explosive from an athletic standpoint. The Cowboys have a bad habit of bulking guys up and taking away their speed which is one of their strengths.

Well if you looked at Dakota and Ezekiel after the game they weren't happy, they didn't have the "we're just happy to have made it this far" look; they fully expected to go all the way. They just got their first taste of the NFL good to goat candidates and I think they'll both put in work to get better,- a lot better.

He should lobby for a veteran #2 to work with and mentor Dez, he is in prime time and needs someone to teach him how to play the position completely. Other than that awareness, and ability to throw his receivers open consistently I see my thought.

Footwork, short middle of the field, ball awareness.
And playing in the cold. We'll be in NY and at least one other cold weather away game every December given how he played in NY this year.
