What does Dak have to work on this offseason?

I think he has to work on his footwork. If he does this, it'll make his passes more consistent. Thoughts?
His arm and footwork. Not saying he doesn't have a good arm, but the ball isnt always a tight spiral and I feel like that could come back and bite him in the *** next year. I would say reading the defense, but that comes with experience.

Dak, work on giving Zeke 30+ touches in a playoff game.

Said it before the game, still upset about it. And that ain't Dak.

Work on handing the ball off.

Footwork/Mechanics mostly. He's not always set well which is why it seems like a decent number of his balls float. Pocket awareness is only alright, hopefully will improve, especially ball security. Making sure he doesn't stare down WRs. He doesn't do it a lot, but its a major no no in the NFL. Basically he's a rookie who had a very good first year and now has to keep cleaning up his game.

More of the anticipatory throws and footwork. I think he's got a quality NFL arm and the accuracy is there. I'm excited about his future with our franchise.

He will improve upon his overall knowledge of the game. This kid is just getting started.

With his work ethic being what it has always been, his development will be impressive.

By Dak's own statements, he's intending to work on all phases of his game. He'll do it.

One of the big things he'll be working on is improving the long balls with his receivers.

He has to be ready for teams that are ready for him.

Meaning: they have enough game day tape on him now.

They will improve on taking away things he dies well so he has to improve in every way.
Specifically, reading defenses, adjusting and making them pay.

mid range throws. i don't care what the stats show, he can be very inaccurate on his mid range passes.
Yes. He has a good feel for where to put the ball, but his footwork needs to improve for him to consistently place the ball

Don't want more running
He runs occasionally and that is enough

Agree. Dak taking off to run should just be sprinkled in here and there. The only time I would have it be a real primary weapon is if we are getting no where offensively against a good D like the Giants games this year. Opening up him running could be that element that throws the D off balance for a few drives and give you a enough to win the game.

Otherwise I'd rather him work on remaining in the pocket and developing his footwork in and around the pocket area. Work on escapability. I think Russell Wilson gets it right most of the time. I'd keep it like that.

Lobbying officials to call holds against opposing teams. Especially when its happening 3 feet in front of thier faces.

We were all crying about getting pressure while thier oline was tackling our d line. Trash trash trash..

Working on a chain gang, going down downtown, working on a chain gang...woops, I nearly slipped down. Five o'clock in the morning, I'm already up and gone...how much more, is this going to be going on?:)

As he improves and gets better, do you guys think he could improve upon misleading defenses? QBs like Brady and Rodgers are very good at looking downfield in one area to mislead defenses that that's where they're throwing and then turning and burning them by throwing elsewhere. I would love it if Dak could develop that.

Not sure if it is a Dak issue or a team issue, play calling. But they need to work on those crossing patterns that tony and Dez had going on. Seems to produce some big yardage and TD's.
his footwork, and intermediate range passing already been mentioned. As pocket awareness. It hasn't been horrible, but there is room for improvement, to cut down on those fumbles.

more deep passes, if for anything to keep defenses honest from stacking the line...but this is more of a play call, and WR's getting separation as we need a true speed deep threat to allow this. So that is not on Dak, and I am not sure how his arm strength /accuracy is for those.

I never understood why the Cowboys don't run that Jerry Rice 5 yard crossing pattern a few times each game. You don't need burners for that to be highly successful.
