You would have to ask him.

th

Maybe something will come out after the season why Lance didn't see the field more.
because he stinks?

They lose their ability to pretend they made an astute football decision and a good trade.

Or......he shows out and they risk retaining him for pennies on the dollar.

Either way it's a no win situation.

Truthfully I'm not sure why so many are still so adamant about playing Lance. He never looked worth keeping to the 9ers and he never showed me he was even as good as Rush. Sounds like grasping at straws to me. So what's the big deal?
He stinks when it comes to throwing the football.

I’m floored the forty Niners took him that high in the draft.

Why was he worth a gamble? That really doesn't make sense.
They didn’t want Cooper Rush. They tried to get rid of him, I don’t think it was stupid at all. What was more stupid which San Francisco gave up for him?

Of course, SF was dumber'n dirt, but at least he was still a prospect and they didn't know how he'd pan out.

We knew and still gave up a draft pick for him. So, I'd have to say that we were more stupid.

Dallas has plenty of regular season tape on Cooper Rush as Daks back up . But with a starting OL some regular season WR’s and Dowdle at RB why not get regular season tape on Lance and start him Sunday .

What does Dallas lose by starting Lance and letting him have the entire 4 quarters . I remember a couple of seasons ago they gave Will Grier the entire last preseason game to showcase his talents knowing they were cutting him .

Remember a Dallas loss and a win by the 49ers in Arizona and the 49ers draft after Dallas not before .
Potentially, being able to re-sign him for a low amount to continue being the third, developmental QB. But they also learn more about whether they should try to re-sign for a low amount to continue being the third, developmental QB.

People saying to play Lance as a form of tanking I can understand, but the ship has sailed on justifying the 4th round pick they gave up for him. They gave up a 4th for a player that never got meaningful snaps even when Dak went down and after this game he’s a free agent. Even if he throws 5 tds it won’t matter. In fact him playing well just drives up the price to bring him back as a backup.

Agree, not much to lose. I guess only potential issue is if they had planned to re-sign him cheap and then he had the game of his life and drove up the price. I think there's a very small chance that would happen, but rather give him another look to see if it's worth it to continue to develop him in the offseason.

We need to lose this meaningless game for a better draft pick. Start Lance so we have a shot at the 11th pick in the draft.

Lance stinks we know that.

He’s going to be QB2 next season.

I think with us having him for a while we have a really good idea on whether its is a something or a nothing. I'm guessing a nothing. Its got to be a mental thing as he certainly has the physical tools. Transplants Cooper Rush's brain in Lance's body and you might have something worth something instead of nothing.

They lose a chance to finish strong as the players would get all sad and depressed and will pout all the way into 2025.
If they start Cooper da God Rush, the players will sign for free to FINISH THE FIGHT IN 25
