Dak does not have any fragile confidence issues.
SMH at the dislike. He lives in your head rent free.

lol..."he lives in your head rent free". What a stupid statement that I hear everyday about some thing.

Poster 1: I don't like Dak.

Poster 2: He lives in your head, rent free. Oh, and he does not even have to pay the utilities!

Serious question:

our offense is top in every category since Dak has been back

Lamb Chops has been emerging and I can make a case that OBJ would do nothing for him. He’s already one of the top 10 WRs statistically in the league. Gallup seems to be mending

Noah is a fine WR3 and perhaps if we are lucky Washington may be a serviceable 3 or 4

If they wined and complained about Amaris numbers and his salary, it’s borderline asinine to bring OBJ who would probably demand even more and produce less

this reeks of commercialism and journey sells because most of the guys are settled in and have already produced sales. Obj is just the big name the cowboys just want to add to the name

If Gallup or Lamb went down, how do feel about Brown as WR2 in the playoffs?

I wouldn't break the bank for him, but I understand the interest in talking to him.

Have to use risk vs. reward with him.

Any player who walks off the field before the first half is obviously a huge risk. The reward is only a matter of degree, and even that is unknown.

With the surgeries and his age, he's not going to be head and shoulders above Lamb, Gallup, Brown, etc. Better, maybe. But not by a big enough margin to take the risk, imo.

And please don't bring up Charles Haley, yes it was a risk and it worked out, but the Cowboys have signed many more that were utter failures, or at least mediocre help.

Can't keep living off one good result....

And you feel he can be a difference maker? What about Washington who’s already on your roster

If OBJ was physically ready to work out for teams he would do so that he could prove he is worth his asking price. After two surgeries on the same knee at 30 years old the organization should get an idea as to where OBJ is physically…instead he is going to a basketball game and meet with Cowboys leadership; Jerry and Stephen are really kicking the tires on this one. But if they want to spend $20M on a decoy to open up the run game and give our other WRs room to operate so-be-it.

I think the same.

This is JJ all over trying to sell his brand and stay in the news.
We've seen this every year.

But anyways i dont see what OBJ could bring us.
I read he is the deep threat we are missing. But IMO he for sure lost at least 2 steps weith his second injury.
And he is a head case. We dont need that.

This guy would only bring problems to the locker room. And we need the money also for next year salaries.

Assuming he can return to previous form, even after his 2nd ACL tear on the very same knee .... ?
- He has Amari Cooper type quick feet, change of direction and line release. Can be difficult to jam.

- He is a better run after the catch, open field guy than a Cooper

- And though he's been plague with the dropsies, he also has shown capable of spectacular highlight circus catches.

- He has the vertical speed to take the top of defenses. .

- He has shown Alpha male mentality,. that's huge because some lead feature WRs just do not have it ...
Alpha male makes him more competitive and combine his physical tools and skill sets along with Alpha male mindset,
and assumed QB/coach support - and even the better coverage CBs cannot hold him .. A Darius Slay cannot hold OBJ.
An Amari Cooper cannot/could not do that.

Scrambled eggo and battered knees.

By the time he's ready to play, so will the 2023 draft.

Find your DT, WR and more, for less.

Let's see

He has elite quickness and technique so he can quickly get separation. Easy reads make for less throws into windows which helps protect the ball as well.

Elite 4.40 speed and RAC ability. Essential ingredients for big plays.

Good size to work in traffic and the red zone.

Great hands that snatch the ball making for a huge catch radius.

Come up in big games: look at last years Super Bowl.

I think we see a different type of route with OBJ.
  • Ceedee seems to be doing a lot behind the LOS and on long/deep crossing routes
  • Gallup is dangerous on a back shoulder fade, go routes, and scrambling
Both are very good receivers but neither are shifty guys that turn on a dime. While OBJ has a bit more speed and good hands which brings a threat on go routes, where he would make his money is on underneath routes that require a quick change of direction. On 3 and 4 if you run OBJ on one of those Beasley-type whip routes he's going to be far more effective converting than our current guys. Take nothing away from Gallup/Ceedee who are productive and making big plays but they aren't the type to find space in a phone booth like OBJ can.
