What happened to Barber?

Barber should be in on 3rd and long and short yardage. He should almost always be in on short yardage. Hey, I like Julius a lot and I think once he gets 100% and if the O-Line could run block at all, he'll have a huge year. BUT, he has yet to show me that he can get it done in short yardage situations. OTOH, Marion has shown me that he can get it done on short yardage.

to be fair, he didnt today. Not like that should be rewarded though

He FUMBLED today too but recovered it again...

No, he was down, the ground cant cause a fumble.

That is a problem though, but I didnt see a fumble today.

I jsut wish he could of gotten it at the 50 on 3rd and 1. Right behind LA, no counter or stretch, jsut ram it for 1 yard.

Ground caused the FUMBLE or not, the ball came out as it has been with him. Its hard to trust a FUMBLER. Look I like MB3 alot but he's gotta hold on to the ball.

I'll tell you what Barber did today!

He's lying on a pile of bodies and he doesn't stop, but he keeps wriggling and he picks up the first down! He absolutely should be in the game when it's short yardage and we are going to run it! He's a much more physical back than JJ!!

He should have gotten the ball on 2nd and 3rd down when there were 2 minutes to play. JJ runs straight into the line and stops like it's a wall. Barber CONSISTENTLY finds the soft spot in short yardage and gets the necessary yardage. JJ does not do that.

Exactly!!!!!.

I agree. But really JJ isn't exactly Emmitt when it comes to putting it on the ground either. Both of them need to tighten it up, MB3 a little more than JJ.

I agree. I didn't like what I saw from Julius today at all. I know he's hurt so I cut him some slack as far as not having the burst he had last year... But IMO he is not running hard enough when nothing is there. Too many times today he just sort of fell down and gave up.

Bill said JJ isn't hurt ...are yall doubting big bill

MB3 can let go of the football all day long after he is down

that will never hurt us

they both are equally just above average ..geez

Right now neither are very good, mostly because neither have the ability to be right now. I think JJ has more upside when he gets some blocking, because he has better speed and moves. But right now any discussion of these two is premature since neither has much of a shot at anything right now.

Campbell didn't see it was intercepted till Bailey was already passing him. Campbell's effort is something I would never question.
..looked to me like he wasn't even looking for the ball on that play. It didn't look like he ran the pattern correctly or just broke it off and never looked back.

That pass and the missed FG killed us..and yet..we were right there with Denver the whole game.

I think we'll get better from this game on in that we've got to have 100%+ effort to really get to the playoffs now with this loss.

We get 10 days off now until the next game.

This should help the team going into December.

2-1 in the last 3 games and losing by 3 pt. to a top 3 team is nothing to be unhappy about.

Unfortunately, we aren't good enough to evercome 2-3 mistakes a game such as INTs and missed FG's and still win.

Most teams aren't.

So let's relax and see what the Jints do against the Seahawks and maybe we still are OK in our division.
