Then who was Hatcher subbing for? I assumed that since Hatcher was getting a ton of snaps that it was Spears that wasnt on the field.

Hatcher was in for Spears some of the time (just as Bowen came in for Canty at times) -- but it wasn't "a ton of snaps." And Spears did play in the fourth quarter, even in the nickel.

Supposedly Wade played a vanilla defense cause he couldn't trust our secondary. Despite that, we still got burned. So does that mean he'll go back to using his 34 system full throttle and see what happens? Maybe Ware can do more then he did Sunday night. Spencer coming along pretty good in second half & really starting to get it.

To continue at DE in the 3-4 and get another contract, he's got to start turning it on at some point this year.

I was thinking along the same lines, but I have him at defensive tackle instead of defensive end in a 4-3 defense. He has yet to demonstrate any pass rushing skills at the pro level and I doubt that losing weight will help him improve in that area, imo.

Ferguson actually called Ayodele "the quickest of all the defensive linemen," and that includes both the ends and tackles.

I think that says all we need to know about both Canty and Spears. When you have a DT that was sitting on his couch on Sunday compared to your starting DEs like that, well, its not a good thing.
