I heard it was him he moved on The hope was he'd pass waivers and we'd resign.

I am not sure Farniok is really worth it, for now without a viable plan sure he is a body there. Hopefully next year they bring in or draft a center.

What I have heard and read was that he disappointed in camp and the preseason. Cowboys saw some real regression. In fact Hoffman outplayed him in camp.

Now both were equally bad in preseason but Hoffman played a lot better against the Raiders. I think that made the final decision a bit easier for the coaches.

Yeah that was crazy we were told at the start of camp he would probably be the starting left guard now he's not even on the team what a fall from grace. How do you go from backup center last year to not even on the team.
why would he have been told he was going to be the starting LG? That makes no sense. The coaches were pretty set on the left side coming into camp.

So far, I haven't seen a team grab him. Weird.
Or maybe not so weird.

Same way Cowboys cut him and did not return him back, same way other NFLs may not
see him as a player they have to have on their club ..at this time.

Maybe a big injury to a starting center would give Farniok some consideration from that NFL team down the road.
(after the first two game as not to guarantee his roster contract ?)

That's bull. Farniok played very well as Center against the Raiders. He certainly played better than Hoffman. Something must have happened behind closed doors when Farniok was told he was being cut is what I'm thinking happened.

That's very possible. But Farniok was not good in camp and even worse against the Jags and Seahawks.

I think the fact Hoffman maintained a slight edge over Farniok over the bulk of camp might have skewed the decision a bit. And remember Dallas also picked up Sean Harlow so maybe Hoffman shouldn't get too comfortable on the PS either.

I didn't see it that way in preseason. Yes, at Guard Farniok made some mistakes, but he played well every time he played Center. I still feel something happened (was said) when Farniok was told he was being cut.

So, differing stories. Mickey says he didn't want to sign here. DMN says he wasn't offered a spot. I guess I can see him saying no thinking he might get taken in waivers or maybe agent thought he might have a place for him. Seems dumb to not take a spot if offered, because a team can still make a run at you.
