What happened to Farniok?

Wasn't Farniok the one getting pushed around in 1 on 1 drills etc?

Seem to remember a clip showing that on here. Coaches don't wanna see OL get pushed around or wind up on the ground.

I think maybe Bass just beat him out at guard and also Hoffman at center.

What happened to him?

I thought he was significantly better than Hoffman.

Did he decline Cowboys practice squad or did they not offer him a spot?

The last staff considered him to be neck and neck with McGovern. At least that's what they said. Now he can't even make the team. How much of that is due to Solari and new coaching vs how much of what was said earlier was lip service?

Putting Edoga, Richards and Bass on the 53 and not him was too much for Farniok to handle.

He thinks he's better than just a PS addition.

So now he's sitting on the couch.

Heard mickey on the fan say that farniok didn't want to sign to the practice squad here today.

Center Of Attention: That the Cowboys didn't retain a true backup center on the initial 53-man roster is eye opening. That is one reason the Cowboys have informed undrafted rookie free agent guard T.J. Bass, one of the now four backup offensive linemen on the 53, to start working getting comfortable with his hand on the ball, too. And he didn't delay, seen after practice on Wednesday not only snapping the ball as if a quarterback under center, but also taking some shotgun snaps, too. Needed one of those Norman Rockwell pictures of the gaggle of reporters interviewing Bass after practice Wednesday in the locker room. According to Bass, this represents his first interview since the start of training camp. Sounds as if the backup-center plan for now is using the allowed three game-day callups on practice squad center Brock Hoffman until someone proves worthy of manning the backup job on the 53.

That's bull. Farniok played very well as Center against the Raiders. He certainly played better than Hoffman. Something must have happened behind closed doors when Farniok was told he was being cut is what I'm thinking happened.
I agree with this. Farniok was way better than Hoffman, especially run blocking. I thought he was good enough as a backup. Now they are really stuck if Biadasz goes down with an injury. Hoffman struggled against backups, what is he going to do against starters. Harlow got cut by the Giants after less than a month.

Notice the complete lack of consideration that he was wrong about the player.

Farniok sucked.
Thank you !!!!! Why are people so afraid of the truth. Farniok and Hoffman are both horrible. Physically soft guys. Its a man's league and it's trench warfare. You have to be a badass. These guys just aren't.

I swear, every Oline coach the Cowboys have picked up/exchanged the past 5 times has made bad decisions when it comes to the players, analysis, where best to play them, develop and keep/cut. It has hurt our Offense every single year.

Never was very high on Farniok and i think the Cowboys finally admitted it to themselves and cut his arse. That group of below average linemen are being replaced by a new, young, hungrier and more talented group. Not gonna mention names but you know who they were... Good to see.

Sounds like Farniok felt insulted when told he was being cut but asked to join the practice squad. I don't blame him at all for refusing. Now the Cowboys are in desperate mode for being stupid.

He didn't develop like they had hoped. Time to give someone else a chance and see what happens.

Just about to ask if this was a possibility… he just looks the part!
