Cheap shot? lol you sound silly. Now getting hit in the ribs is illegal? Now I knew head shots get attention but I swear I've never saw chest hits get called dirty helmet or not. The longer you live the more craziness you hear from people. It's not just you saying this craziness either so don't feel singled out.

Hitting him in the ribs wasn't the cheap part. It was hitting him with the crown of the helmet. That is spearing and has been illegal and cheap for decades. Spearing also puts the guy making the tackle in danger because it can lead to neck and spine injuries.

Damn. Collapsed lung? He can play with a broken rib and a lacerated spleen (Witten did), but that collapsed lung. Just. Damn.

Romo had a similar injury and came back into the 49er game back in 2011.

I still haven't heard people with all this cheap shot garbage talk with that type of hit though simple and plain. That's what I'm laughing at esp when I don't think the person who did it has any kind of history of "dirty" plays. Maybe I'm wrong on that note but I still haven't heard of rib shots regardless of hit by the helmet or not as cheap. Sounds silly to me and like straight overreaction by some.

You know what's interesting, the Packers played the Giants prior to playing against the Cowboys in October. Well fast forward to now the Packers play us again after previously playing the Giants. Maybe lingering effects from a physical game against the Giants will show up against Dallas like it did in October.
