What I believe Jerry & Jethro will do Draft

No logic except illogical. First 2 picks Jerry wants his razorback and then tries to appease the hater fans by taking the hometown Aggie. Others just names that have not been mentioned by the majority of us.. Since Micah Parsons was a success,Jerry goes back to Penn State grabs Brooks. Jerrion Ealy average speed RB potential to start. Mitchell swing tackle reserve. Kersetter in a year can challenge but won't be anything special. Muse ordinary TE, Stille. Just a piece of a rotation. Do I want this draft? NOPE!!! BUT like last year it had to grow on me to like it.

1- Treylon Burks WR Arkansas

Trade up in the 2nd round swaps 2nd's and sacrifice a 5th for the move up

2- Kenyon Green OG Texas A& M

3- Jerrion Ealy RB Mississippi

4- Max Mitchell OT Louisiana

5a-Ellis Brooks MLB Penn State

5b-Nick Muse TE South Carolina

5c-Derek Kersetter C Texas

6-Ben Stille DT Nebraska

No corner???

Hold on a second, where you going with that 5th rounder? You want to buy an Armani suit and you're flashing a 10 dollar bill?

Kind of optimistic to think Green would drop all the way to the 53rd or 54th pick, which is how far he'd have to fall for us to get him with our 2nd and 5th.

I guess you never know!

fwiw, our 2nd and 3rd gets us up to the 41st pick so maybe that would work. We may want that 3rd though

No sense in using any picks after the 3rd round to try to move up in the first 3 rounds. Those late picks are only useful moving up in later rounds. Or they can be used to even out some trade ups or trade down.

For example. Dallas trades with Baltimore to move up to 14 with 24, 56, and pick 176 smooths it out.

I like trading with the Jets for their picks 35 and 38 for our 24 and 56.

Or with the Seahawks for their 40 and 41 for our 24, 88, and 155. The trade value favors us there, but hey, they're moving up a lot.

I agree in general.
For sure that 2nd and 5th are unrealistic to move way up in the 2nd rd.

But you never know until draft day.

If for some freaky reason your target drops to 53 or so, or within 3 picks of your slot in the 2nd you may trade up if you think one for the teams right ahead you will steal the player.

Agreed. And if that team doesn't feel threatened by moving back a few spots, you got a deal using a late round pick. My main point was, don't try to use them to help you move up significantly in the first 3 rounds. I pointed out two good uses, you pointed out the third.
