I meant the current condition of the teams...but good job looking up thier records....
Honestly, Cleveland is supposed to be a contender THIS season. St. Louis... not so much. That franchise is in a heap of trouble.
At this point we don't know if Cleveland is really a contender or not. They might have just run into a buzz saw in Dallas and simply got out classed. They still might go on to make the playoffs.
However, St. Louis is pretty sure to dissappoint this year. They were in game 1 of their new offensive system under Mike Martz and frankly, I expected them to allow about 1,000 sacks and not score much. Their defense has sucked since Lovie Smith left and this year will be no exception. Plus, they haven't played well on the road in years.
Cleveland was 7-1 at home last year. The Dawg Pound is a rough place to play... unless your team just has too much talent for Cleveland to deal with.
Overall, I'd say Philly Fans might be the only ones in our solar system to think playing St. Louis at home is as tough a task as going to Cleveland to play one of the higher scoring teams in the country.
But then again... Philly Fans usually are thinking way different than anyone else.
