1. DeMarcus Ware can cover Westbrook in the flat and sling him down, just like he did Reggie Bush when he caught a ball in the right flat in a preseason game. Ware was covering Seattle receivers 30 yards down the field in the playoff game, and in the Pro Bowl, he locked receivers up the entire game.
2. Edwards got behind Henry, not the entire secondary. Pacman tried to help Henry, because Hamlin wasn't there.
3. Pacman Jones was thrown at 5 times that I can remember, and he made a play on the ball three times. If one of them was thown a little better, it would have been six. He drilled one guy and broke up another ball. He had one ball dropped in front of him (a short one). He knocked the other ball away. Finally, he was beat to the inside in the endzone and made a smart play by taking the penalty.
All of Dallas' corners played well. They played a key role in holding Cleveland to 114 yards passing when Anderson had some time to throw the ball by scrambling. Pacman is learning a new scheme and technique, but he sure didn't have big problems covering Winslow and Edwards, and he sure had his turns at them.
You guys paid a mint for Asante Samuel, and I'm not sold that you can leave him on an island. Dallas got Pacman for a bargain. He is only 24 years old, and in 2006, his YPA was 5.4 YPA. He is physical, and he is one of the best bump and run corners in the NFL. Pacman excells at man coverage, and he was on that island in Tennessee. Dallas played mostly zone against Cleveland, and Pacman played very well.
The Patriots played Samuel in heavy zone. Samuel was a great north and south player, but will he hold up in the Eagles' system? He is going to have to play man coverage in that blitzing scheme, and he isn't used to pressing. Samuel isn't going to hold up in the slot, so if Lito doesn't play LCB, T.O. will roast Samuel for sure in man coverage.
4. The Rams are weak on the lines, and Cleveland has one of the best offensvive lines in the NFL.
5. As far as Jackson goes, Newman, Pacman, Scandrick.... It doesn't matter. If Newman plays in Dallas' nickel, he'll take care of your guy.
