So, count me in with those getting a bit fed up with Roy Williams atm. I wish he could regain his 2nd year form, but Im not sure if that is possible now. He misses Woodson more than ever.

This is my idea:

Sign Asante Samuels or get a solid corner in the draft.

Move Hamlin to strong safety, I think he is big enough and enough of a presence to fill that role.

Move Henry to Free Safety. The guy is a ball hawk and I think he would play that center field role great.

Any comments or thoughts?

Well, thanks for commenting on the topic. I appreciate it.

Face it, these threads won't stop until:

A. Roy starts playing to his potential again

or

B. He is gone.

Believe me, I would rather have option a. I loved Roy in his first couple of seasons, but right now the only time I see him is when he makes a BAD play. He hasn't made the game turning INTs or hits this season. I could take an occasional bad play, every player has them, just throw in some of his old hits and INTs and these threads go away.

Just give me more good than bad....thats all I ask.

Career wise? Yes, more good than bad. This year and most of last year? Not even close.

After the criticism last year, I really expected Roy to have an All-Pro year this year. I thought he would come back with a vengeance and shut up his detractors. Instead, he has given them a louder voice. Much louder.

Hmm, a thread about a change in our secondary...what is the biggest thing wrong with our secondary?

Newman, nah hes having a solid year.

Henry? nope, he has played well all year and had a few great INTs.

Hamlin? never, everyone is trying to figure out when Jones is gonna resign him.

Who the heck else could it be about?

Yeah, try a little reality for a change... go investigate the cap hit that the Boys would have to eat if they got rid of Roy, then tell me again if you want to see him go...

Reality says that Roy Williams is going to remain a Cowboy for at least next season, probably longer... and if he's on the team, he's gonna be on the field...

I am sorry but you are wrong, he has been more a positive than a negative this year. You pretend that run support isn't half of his job? Or what about when he makes a tackle on a crucial third down play? you get caught up in the bs about he can't cover, and you don't even know when he is called out what his coverage responsibilities are on that given play. Whether he expects help or if another player was out of position and ultimately it just looks like he screwed up. Casual fans have zero clue what the play call was or who was supposed to cover who. And don't bring up TE's beating him when there is no reason not to expect a strong safety to get beat by one. Its a matchup all teams exploit regardless of if its roy in the secondary or superman, its a mismatch. whatever I am done

Yep, and despite all the good he has supposedly done, he missed out on the Pro-Bowl for the first time...despite having the clear lead in fan voting. It was the coaches and players who didnt think he deserved to get in. Course the coaches and players are "casual" fans, what the hell do they know?

okay by that brilliant logic tnew is a bum?

and deangelo hall is the top shut down corner in the league the last couple years?

and never mind that I am almost positive roy is in the probowl this year

the probowl is a joke and you using that to justify why you think roy sucks is about as ******** as this thread.

Oooh, Im on list! Grats me!

Edited to add:

I normally ignore fan voting. Thats the reason people like Hall and Vick get in. I do, however, notice coaches and players votes. They tend to be a bit closer to reality. So when someone leads, by a large margin, in fan voting but still doesn't make it that tells me the coaches and players dont think he is worthy.

Yes, I know he was an alternate, but damn he has seemed to fall so far, so fast.
