Sean Lee. He stays healthy and our defense will be better.

That's great in theory.

The problem is that he can't stay healthy. In fact, there isn't one LB we can count on to play 16 (or more) games.

Matt Johnson, please come back! You can be the greatest Cowboys free safety since Cliff Harris.

We need a Rusher and a better coverage safety. I think we have LB covered between RoMac, Lee and the others.

They are not. At all.

They need quite a bit of talent to be really good.

But getting someone like Suh and a healthy, motivated, and ready Law and Lee for the entire year could prove to help the defense out a bit.

No question they would but I think we can say that no matter what they do in the offseason this team will have to be carried by their offense in 2015. Which is why I'm fine if they are aggressively making moves on the offensive side rather than all defensive, which seems to be what most want. Romo doesn't have time for a complete defensive roster overhaul.

They have to plan as-if Lee will not stay healthy. If he does, it should just be a bonus.

Its more of a reason to have Hitchens as the "fourth starter". I think there is a good chance Durant comes back and possibly Bruce Carter. If Hitchens is the 4th LB on the depth chart he can step in if Lee gets hurt and if everyone stays healthy - rest all three starters. Durant as the 5th LB would be terrific depth if he would agree to terms.

I fully expect them to sign him.

I agree.

Obviously I was joking but I do think he has more natural free safety talent than anyone currently on the roster. His only problem is that he appears to be made of peanut brittle and cheap rubber bands.

Suh would be fantastic. Hardy will not be coming to Dallas. No way I see JG buying off on that. On the field antics are one thing, off the field violence towards women I think are a no brainer in this day and age of the NFL.

Suh, Crawford and DLaw I think could be a potent D-Line.

Man, some of these guys are just............brutal. Suh is a complete awesome person by the way. How do I know? Went to a Pistons game with some friends this weekend. One of the guys works part time at the Lions complex in Allen Park, MI every summer for the last 20 years. (he's a school teacher and very trust worthy) Basically said Suh is no longer worth the trouble.

They've grown tired of his surly and moody attitude. Sure he's a helluva talent but not worth the aggravation for that kind of money. He said that the Lions are putting up a PR front. They are saying the right things about bringing him back but don't want him, despite his immense talent. Think about that a minute and let it sink in.

Hardy? HELL no, for reasons you already stated. JPP? Overrated and overpaid IMHO....don't want him either.

Any improvement in the Defense would be huge. We saw that this year. They went from historically bad to just pretty bad, but made up for it with effort and turnovers. Another step forward would help take the burden off the offense even more. They don't have to be a a Top 10 unit, just serviceable with some take-aways.

A Suh signing would accomplish that with one move. Then just keep drafting well and being smart with the rest of the FA.

I don't have that inside knowledge of Suh, just what I see on Sundays and what articles are written. If true and he's not a team player, then I don't want him either.

It will good that the Cowboys coaches are the Pro Bowl coaches, so they can see him on a daily basis and how he interacts with folks.

He can be charming when need be. That's one of the things I asked this guy: is he has smart as everyone says? If so, why does he have the undisciplined, untimely penalties on the field at times? He basically said he is very intelligent and charming when it suits him. Other times he's the opposite and downright nasty. You never know which guy you're going to get from day to day. What about leadership? I asked if signed for alot of money, is he a guy that would mentor other young linemen like D. Lawrence, etc....the guy rolled his eyes and laughed: "NO" is all he said. I left with the impression that the guy has a Jekyl and Hyde type persona. I've known those types before. Mercurial, unpredictable and aloof. Not a guy I want to pay over 100 mil to that's for sure.

2 guys this offseason that could help as an edge rusher - 1. B Graham (as mentioned) 2. J Hughes

both will probably get $5M+ per year.

One superstar isn't guaranteed to be healthy at the end of the season, spend on depth, prepare for injuries. Our big defensive FA acquisition Henry Melton wasn't there Sunday. Would have been nice to have him chasing Rodgers around instead of Nick Hayden whiffing.

according to some this draft is pretty deep on DL players. I hope that is the case

He should have stayed out of the weight room while he has been gone. I think he had over done it in bulking up in the past and it just made him too tight.
