So here's how i see things:

I know it feels like Dak will never reach a Super Bowl, but I say..... it feels like it won't happen until it happens.

Numbers and esteem in the league would say Dak was better regarded than Ryan before the landmark Ryan year.

New coach, new defense, new system, new ideology..... you never know. And if Terrence Steele is the weak link, make a trade mid year.... give a needy team something they want we have more of for a Right Tackle.

I wonder if Brandon Loree noticed that Dak is the only one in that group of QB's he mentioned to not even make it to a championship game. 3 of the 5 have played in super bowls. Clearly the person who posted the tweet failed to notice that minor detail. But hey, lets keep putting Dak way up on that pedestal for his stats.

I've watched all his seasons. I stand behind everything I've said. He can ride the bus & steer it while the road is smooth but he has never shown himself capable to get the bus thru those tight spots. That shouldn't be controversial. It's the cold hard facts. The team seems poised to be better but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about can HE play better in the big moments & make the most of the talent around him.

No, Detroit was a dumpster fire for the majority of Stafford & Johnson's time there. As in 8 losing seasons out of 12 for Stafford. The had a 2 win & a 4 win season mixed in.

We've certainly had some of the same issues but not nearly to the level Detroit had. Our dumpster wasn't even smoking for most of those years.

  • Dak Prescott: Has multiple Pro Bowl nods and consistently high efficiency metrics as the starter for the Dallas Cowboys, but he lacks an MVP award or a deep playoff/Super Bowl run.

2-5 playoff record and only making Pro Bowls are defining metrics at this point. If you want to make yourself feel better by hoping the D is better and the RT improving will make a world of difference.......I know you cannot be objective, but the Falcons D in '16 was 27th in pts allowed and 26th in DVOA, not good. I would probably say their OL will be similar, and Ryan had Julio as his WR1, but had nothing close to GP as his 1/2. Until Dak wins an MVP/gets to a Championship, there really is no comparison. I also believe that Super Bowl was the one that the Falcons totally fell apart in the 4th, blowing a massive lead thanks in large part to the anointed HC Guru Kyle Shanahan refusing to kill the clock with a run game

I read that if they had simply snapped the ball and took a knee once they had the 28-3 lead the clock would have run out on the Pats before they came back. So yes, "continuing to do what got them there" rather than treating the clock as their friend cost them the game. But it sounded like Quinn was all in on it.
