What if Dak steadily gets worse by seasons end

It's a valid question. Dak has shown real consistency and accuracy issues. He can hit wide open receivers maybe 80% of the time. Will his accuracy improve enough? Or is it just going to be acceptable he can't throw in a tight window? The Cowboys will never get to that level with a QB who is "just pretty good". As you've seen already, teams have a plan for Dak and it's achieving results. His play action rollouts are going to have a LB waiting for him more often now. Keep him in the pocket. He's average from there.

So is this what it's going to be for the next 3-4 years? You've got to ask yourself...

What young QB has steadily improved every year? Throws with anticipation? Stands in the pocket? Leads his receiver instead of only throwing outs and comebacks? Can make every throw required. And just so happens to be a free agent 2018? Don't tell me you haven't thought about.

Kirk Cousins.

How often does a QB, seemingly ready to take the next step come available to the highest bidder?

1) How awesome would it be for the Skins to be dumb enough to let him get away?
2) How awesome to let him get to a hated rival and have nobody to replace him with?
3) A plug and play QB who has the possibility to throw for 4500 yards if needed.
4) A QB motivated to remind his former team of the mistake they made twice a year for the next 8-10 years.

A pretty bold move to make. One that might be best for the team.

With Romo it was never him it was always the WRs fault with these same WRs. All of the sudden they turned a 180 and do everything right for their QB? And its just him?

Too bad you cant trade fans.

This has nothing to do with Romo, IMO.

I'm seeing a lot of people who were pro Dak last year, and couldn't wait to dump out of Romo, who seem to now be against Dak. It's not just on this forum either. There are a couple others where this seems to be the case as well.

We truly might have the dumbest fan base in all of pro sports.
Well anyone who expects Dak to play like a 10 year vet is dumb.

I never understood how some can only remember the good out of Romo and not the bad. I have a hard time separating the two.
Dak is in his second year as starter, Romo didn't see the field in his first two years, wasn't able to play at the level required. Thank goodness the coaches don't just get rid of players as soon as they have a little hardship, it's a team game. People remember Romo the 14 year veteran, they never saw Romo as player starting his first two years in the league. Rest assured they would have wanted to run him out of town also.

I didn't even pay much attention to Romo until pre-season of 2006. Before then he was just some guy on the roster.

This place is embarrassing. Took Brady 8 years to post a rating of 100. Manning 6. Dak will probably do it in his first two. But he's regressing! After four games into his second season! Funniest thing is he is playing well enough for us to win and IMO playing well. Bunch of morons. Cringeworthy stuff

This suprises you with this fan base? SAS describes a good chuck of this fan base very well, and we call him a hater. But when things get rough his words are spot on with alot. Then they jump back on board when the team is winning.

Yeah you're exactly right. Very true. This place is humiliating after a loss. But after a win, Dak is the truth! Really is unfortunate we get lumped together as one because of a few morons

Everyone that knows football, pins that loss directly on special teams. They were horrid last week. Completely altered that game, single handedly. This is where the main focus should be. Second is defense. Not Dak.
