If you look at other fan forums and social media these argue differently. Daks not high demand, no one cares about regular season, guy can’t produce when it matters. Worse he wouldn’t produce in regular season if he didn’t have all the help around him, which other teams can’t afford to put around him

It's an interesting hypothetical. You're right, fan forums and social media crush Dak, but that doesn't really matter as there are many teams sitting around with QB's that don't even get to the playoffs. Lot of those owner's would be having in-depth discussions with their GM re: the possibility of procuring a guy like Dak. After all, part of trying to win in the playoffs is just getting there. That's part of what's playing into Jerry keeping the band together. He's enjoyed 3 consecutive 12 win season's and the promise of another post season run is highly likely with the same group.

Not saying I like this philosophy, as I see the same result playing out. But from an old man's perspective, being in the position to win 3 or 4 straight (playoff games) to snatch the trophy is more attractive than rolling the dice and going in another direction regardless of its potential high-end ceiling.
