What if Randy Moss asked for a trade at the end of the season?

I tossed a first and a third at OAK for Moss in Madden 2007.

Traded Greg Ellis for Lawson, because our freaking FO didn't have the sense to draft him (then I sat him behind Carpenter)....

I'm working on something for Carson Palmer. I'll keep you posted.

I am happy with the WR's we have on this team.....if anything though, I would look for a very talented rookie to select in the early rounds.

Like Johnson from Ga Tech
Do you expect us to be picking in the top 5 next year?

He'd also want to be paid and we'd be spending too much money on WRs and not enough on O-line.

I like him, but pass.

Um, I would disagree with Moss being a possession WR. He's pretty much opposite of that. not that he can't do that, but he's proved to be one of the best deep threats in NFL history.

There's almost no such thing as building for the future when it comes to WR; either a guy can play or he can't. Not signing Randy Moss because we have Patrick Crayton is mindless. Cap considerations are silly, the cap is massive and we have a 4 year window of opportunity with this defense.

Moss, Glenn, and Owens would be unstoppable, but my reservation would be that we don't run a base 3-wide set so it would be either a big change to the offense or a waste of talent.

Fun to think about, though, and you'd have to consider it.

no thanks. i would rather pick a nice young wr like ginn or johnson.ginn would fix the punt return problem and is a nice deep threat.we have more draft picks then we have spots availible next year. move up for one of these two guys, they arwe both gonna be great players.

The QB would have to learn how to throw with both hands because Moss and TO would be screaming they were open on every play.

I think at some point we have to develope the young guys, and that means gettin g them some playing time. We seem to have gotten a couple diamonds here, they need to be polished though. We will probably pick up a first or second round Wide out in the draft.

I agree and I'm encouraged by some of our younger WR. Of course I would like to see them get some reg season action but Hurd and Rector were going up aginst 1st team defense in pre-season and they looked very sharp doing so.

Now, before some of you jump the gun, consider this: Owens and Moss may both be explosive threats, but upon closer inspection you will see that they have two different games. I can certainly see Moss in the role of possession receiver while Owens plays the intermediate to deep threat.

Your thoughts...

Moss is the better deep threat and Owens is better short and intermediate.

Nevertheless, we would have to wrap up too much salary cap room in the WR position and that would cost us dearly elsewhere, AND two oversized "me first" egos would potentially be a big problem anyway.

Sometimes I think there are fans out there who wouldn't want the Patriots' three Super Bowl trophies because those teams didn't have enough "name" "superstars" on them.

Dallas would be better signing or developing at least two really good linemen. That would have a bigger impact than signing Moss. Now if they could accomplish doing both, then go for it. Just doesn't seem feasible.

you first, you have the obivous lack of sleep syndrome.

You know making threads about things, that absolutly make no sense, and would cause havoc in fans, and the team.

not to mention you couldnt even get their style of play right

Moss is the deep threat. And owens is the Possesion guy. You should study just a bit harder, on these players
...yawn

Finally, a voice of reason.

Ain't gonna happen, but can you imagine the media if we actually did this?? Ummm, you think we have a circus now.......our games might be televised like the presidential state of the union address, on every station.

they'd probably implement a locker-room cam :laugh2:

Is Randy Moss really that much better than Terry Glenn?

From the standpoint of physical talent - yes.

When you factor in the impact on the salary cap and the potential attitude problems - no.

Terry Glenn had a better year last year, I think, and is on pace for another one

why fix what isn't broken? :D
