Back to the OP question before the Skins troll hijacked the thread..........if we get blown out by the Skins, that puts us at 0-2 with both losses in the division. If I remember correctly, only about 20% of 0-2 teams have made the playoffs.

Thus, if you want to know what will happen if we lose to the Skins? We in all likelihood do not make the playoffs and that means Garrett will have missed the playoffs 5 times in 6 seasons.

On just about every other team in the league, that record would get Garrett fired but this is Dallas and I am sure Garrett will milk the Romo excuse for all its worth and talk about "the process" and how you cant build a roster in 6.5 seasons and that continuity is most important.;)

If there is a blowout either way id say the odds of them blowing us out is better than vice versa. I look for Norman and Breeland to{mostly}keep Bryant/Williams in check and don't have much confidence we can cover Garcon/Jackson/Crowder/Reed/Davis, especially with little to no pass rush.

Commanders can not blow out anyone. Cousins is a liability and they cant stop the run. Look for the Cowboy offense to have a big day...lead by Morris and the running game. Bank on it!!
We do play better away from Jerry World.

So I don't see a blowout.

But what I really want to see is if it is close in the late 4th QT..

what happens with DAK?

Do they let him improsive like they do Romo..

or do they micro-manage DAK into mistakes?

Do they run the ball and throw short passes like last week?

Or do they let him loose and run if needed and let him spread the defense with some options?

I think we need to loosen DAK and let him show what he can do.

I want to give this "What if" stuff a try. Seems to be all the rage. If the Cowboys go to Washington and get blown out by the hated Commanders to go 0-2 in the division, what do you think should happen?

Garrett fired? Romo sent to IR? The Death Star burned to the ground? Time to start talking top 5 pick for next years draft? All of the above? What?

I mean, we've seen this movie before. Why not get ahead of it? Since we know how it will all go down if the Cowboys do get blown out by the Commanders.

I was talking to a friend today and he said it might be time to start thinking about trading Zeke while we can still get something for him. Before everyone finds out he is a bust. And since Romo is obviously done.

I mean, WOW!!! What do you guys think?

Any hope out there?

That indeed would be grim, if Dak is steadily making progress though it would have a silver lining.

Commanders suck. Giants are our only competition in the NFC East if we get Romo and can stay afloat at around .500 before then. After a game one which I was afraid we were gonna get blown out in because of a new QB and bad defense. I'm actually far more confident in this team than I was going into the season.

I guess if you are going to allow opposing teams fans to post and talk trash, they at least should be forced to have a distinctive avatar.

I spent half this thread wondering why people were being so mean to Rowdy.
Disrespecting the clown.

Doctson played just a couple series last game due to a injury in training camp and did not play in preseason...when he gets up to speed he will be the 3rd wr...

3 catches 33 yards vs B.jones that's what reed had vs Jones in the first matchup. I remember that game cousins was looking at him first on almost every down.. couldn't do anything

Again how tall is Byron jones? 6'1? and jumped 42''? Well guess what Doctson is 6'3 and jumped 41'' so you need to go to bed

You must not understand how that stat works.

Doctson, with his 6'3" frame, with arm raised, could only get up to to 41". Jones, with his 6'1" frame, with arm raised got up to 42. Doctsons 6'3" frame still didn't help him out vs Jones.

Basically what I'm saying is, Byron Jones out jumps him and is shorter. Period. If Doctson was 6'1, you could probably count on his jump being 39".

A blow out does conform to our beloved Cowboys narrative in that we will keep it close if we are not leading going into the fourth quarter. Then all heck will break lose and a lack of football IQ on the part of our coaches and or players will surface and a costly turnover, sack or blown play by a guy on D that would not start in most NFL teams will turn the tide against us.
