Barber gets the majority of carries. Ends world hunger and poverty.

I would guess he gets less than 260 carries he got in 2006, then we just let him walk after the year. We have Romo, Flo, Crayton, Davis and Glenn as UFA along with JJ. Most of those could very well be gone, but Romo could get a whopper and there's TNew to think about. That's why getting something for him now makes sense.

Hers a novel idea: How about we keep Jones AND draft a RB on the first day?

I haven't heard anyone suggest that, but it's not a bad idea. Kincade isn't much and if JJ walks, it would be nice to have a man ready to go. Keep 4 RBs and 1 FB. JJ,MB3,TT and a draft pick. Maybe even a 4th rounder?

Probably something along those lines at first......then after he gains 1200 yds next year, and Barber goes for 1000 yds....we'll all be stressing out about getting JJ signed to a contract extension (aka...Columbo this year) ;)

Then maybe he rushes for 1500 yards are we are all sitting here wondering why we wanted to trade him :laugh1: .

That and the fact my 7 year old son has his jersey, and JJ is his favorite player, and I don't want to see his little heart broken to know JJ is not on the team anymore. Therefore I hope he stays for that single reason alone:star:

He'll have another mediocre 3.8-4.0 ypc year and it will be (fill in the blank of the latest excuse)'s fault. We'll look past his 12 mediocre games, and think about how good he was for his 3 good games for the season. Then we'll predict that 2008 will be his breakout year, and claim that no one in the 2008 draft could possibly produce 3.8 ypc to replace him.

Status quo.

Its actually the best case scenario. Without Jones we cannot truly go BPA as we would have a need at RB if for no other reason thatn depth.

That way if a back like Lynch in the first or Branch or Irons in the second falls to us we can grab them and really be in a good spot.

Let them battle it out in TC and were the better team for it.

I'm fine with him coming back. Gives us a solid tandem just like this year. It would just be a shame though to either have to franchise him or lose him for nothing next year when we have a shot at moving him this year. The money is crazy now, I can only imagine what it is going to be like this coming year.

Then you can proclaim victory?

What's the point of this foolishness?

just want to know since some people are dead-set against Jones in Dallas, and it's a very real possibility that he returns next year

should be fun

actually no its your childish viewpoint that makes you think that. There are quite a few of us that believe that Jones should remain on the team but just not start.

i dont see anyone who is saying trade jones at all costs just like i am not seeing anyone saying he wouldnt be worth a second rounder.
