How about if a back like Lynch falls tto us or a similar value at any round we pick him up? Jones doesnt need to be coddled any more than Watkins does.

Im going to laugh so hard just because i know youll be crying like a little girl if we pick up Nelson or Lynch.

actually no its your childish viewpoint that makes you think that. There are quite a few of us that believe that Jones should remain on the team but just not start.

i dont see anyone who is saying trade jones at all costs just like i am not seeing anyone saying he wouldnt be worth a second rounder.

I think Jerrah is holding out for a 2nd rdr. But that is not likely. Odds are that JJ sticks around for this coming year. Love to watch Just Say No and Iman frothing at the mouth over it- that would be fun!!

:lmao:

And who would that be? We arent talking about ditching Roy, Demarcus, Newman, Romo, Owens, Glenn or Witten.

That would be Jones, our starting RB.

Why would we want to trade him? for a Draft pick?

Please.

He'll have another mediocre 3.8-4.0 ypc year and it will be (fill in the blank of the latest excuse)'s fault. We'll look past his 12 mediocre games, and think about how good he was for his 3 good games for the season. Then we'll predict that 2008 will be his breakout year, and claim that no one in the 2008 draft could possibly produce 3.8 ypc to replace him.

Status quo.

lmao!!!!

Post of the day. Easily.

There is one very important advantage to having JuJo stay around next year, but as a backup. He'd be available to return punts. That would mean a lot less of me being on the verge of a heart attack everytime Newman returns a punt. JuJo returned punts at ND, even returned one for a TD his freshman year. He could also do some kick return duty, although I like TT and Austin back there.

While I dont know if I would associate "one of our best players" with Julius' name... I would like to see him back in the same role with Barber in HIS same role as last year.... only thing I would change is either bringing in or drafting a RB that leads to open camp for starting RB position... let Julius know that his starting job has to be earned... AND KEPT....

He can help us win this year, so I say hang on to him. He'll be much easier to replace in the 2008 draft, because this draft is really weak RB wise. It doesn't bother me at all that we wouldn't get anything for him, as long as he's going to help us in 2007 that's fine with me.

yep status quo...somebody else that doesnt understand that our OL has been poor to mediocre at run blocking for years, and thinks that RB's should be able to ovecome that all by themselves

Then you can proclaim victory?

What's the point of this foolishness?

Perhaps to mock the 11 jillion threads about how we should trade him??

I would have thought such a humongous fan of Simon Cowell would appreciate the sarcasm...

then what?

then we couldn't have anymore repetitive two word threads about JJ vs. MB3.

:(

Personally I think we'll shift to Spears v. Hatcher. or maybe we can pit the cheerleaders against one another.

I would guess he gets less than 260 carries he got in 2006, then we just let him walk after the year. We have Romo, Flo, Crayton, Davis and Glenn as UFA along with JJ. Most of those could very well be gone, but Romo could get a whopper and there's TNew to think about. That's why getting something for him now makes sense.

Keith Davis is a FA? Can't think of any other Davis' without a new contract. Not sure they would resign him at this point if Dallas drafts a FS and Watkins under his rookie contract. It helps that Hurd is doing well on special teams as well.

Hopefully, the Boys would have drafted a good wr to replace Glenn unless they can sign him to a cheaper deal depending on his performace next year. Same goes for Crayton. Hopefully, Crayton will break out so Dallas can see what kind of wr he can truly be.
