They are 24-24 over the last 3 years. The entire premise is dumb.

But if you don't want to live in the past, I guess I will bring up last years 13-3 record, against your pathetic record last season.
Your team sucks and your fans are the joke of the league, you guys are tough in flocks of 20, but I can guarantee every single one of you would run if it was one-on-one.
BUT one that been playing way further into the season than the Cowboys. How long have you guys suffered now..is it 12 years? No wonder your so frustrated.Go ahead tell me about all of "your" rings from YEARSSSS ago if it helps relieve some of your recent history frustrations. Will this be another year of hopes and dreams or will it finish once more with seconds left, dogs running for cover, wives and girlfriends needing to seek outside satisfaction and TV's busted all over that great state of Texas.......Just remember 3 Q's and 13 minutes 59 seconds till yall hide your eyes and thats not for 4 months yet...so yall have a good ole time beating yourselves on the chest and telling each other how good yall really are.....some day.khiladi;2253723 said:Eagles are an ALMOST team...

Every year...do you only watch the playoffs if the Cowboys are somehow involved?PLAYOFFS...oh thats right it's been some time. Some fan of the game you are.I used to watch the Cowboys in the good ole days and actually admired their play even though they used to beat the crap out of us like clockwork...but to say or not to give credit for how the Eagles have year over year been in the "PLAYOFFS" and on a consistent basis is really showing what a fan of the game you are.You have not represented the NFC for so long I allmost thought you defected. Now you have the oppurtunity (and have)lets see if you can get into ANY big game never less the Super Bowl.zrinkill;2253773 said:Sounds like Eagles fans every year.

You called them a power house,I only said you guys have NOT represented in YEARS...untill now(last two years) and you choked both times,if your gonna call other teams chokers take credit for when yours does.Mabey if you take the friggin star off of their helmets you can stop living in them.:bang2: See even this lil guy knows the deal.YoMick;2253800 said:The last year the Eagles were a Powerhouse was TO's last full year. So "Perennial" is out of the equation.
Please do some research before you post this garbarge.

Boy I guess you told me ,problem is your history is so old it's forgotten.Time for a new History lesson.....we all know how much Tony loves company...he will have plenty......IN HIS BACKFIELD.Keep your eyes on Jackson and do NOT blink. This is NOT the same Donovan of the last two years...oh mabey you want to watch Samuel as well. Then their is this guy Westbrook and our not so good recievers.TO will NOT have a good game...mark my words and if Dawkins can have just one good hit it will be on him,and since your a teacher you should always be open to learning from your student See yall Monday Night the Eagles will be in townYoMick;2253881 said:Being that you are talking about history.
Let me see:
When Dallas truly represents they win 3 of 4 SB's
When the Eagles truly represent they lost 3 NFC title games and 1 SB.
Thank you. The lesson is over.

Now the lesson is over!YoMick;2253881 said:Being that you are talking about history.

Ultimately I think it comes down to coaching. I think Denver's another team like that; just have the ability to be tough no matter the players on the field.ultra5;2251747 said:It's hard to understand how the Eagles can achieve their high level of excellence and league wide domination year after year. So it got me thinking... how on earth do they manage to do it???
Some would say it starts at the top and has to do with coaching and we need look no further than the Jolly ol' Andy Reid and the fake Jimmy Johnson. While other may argue that it's the way they take such great care of their loyal players by awarding them with best in class pay before their contracts are up.
Those reasons are probably valid... but i think there is more as we pull the green shower curtain back... like maybe their unwaivering dedication to provide the team with top flight pro bowl caliber wideouts year after year? Of course we cannot forget about their gritty, durable, tough as nails, teflon don qb who handles the media with such grace and dignity? Everyone knows that McNabb is championship ready at anytime! He also has one of the "freshest" end zone dances in the league which he has honed to complete perfection after all of these years of numerous TD celebrations.
Some may even argue that it is their beautiful, state of the art, open, fresh air "family friendly" stadium facilities in lovely, clean, Philadelphia complete with plastic bottle service. More likely though would be their loaded-to-the-brim, juggernaut roster with numerous weapons on offense that most people refer to as "Westbrook." Last but not least would it just be that gorgeous, gleaming hardwood trophy case. While there aren't any trophies yet - all real Eagle fans know that it's "just a matter of time" before that case gets jam packed.
Anyway you slice it - this juggernaut is built to last.

starfrombirth;2253904 said:You do realize, don't you, that the Eagle burned corners on the rams that wouldn't even make our second team, right? That will make a big difference in coverage on their receivers. Heck even the highlight catch of D. Jackson, he was covered, the corner just missed the ball. The eagles won't be nearly as open against us as they were in week1. S. Jackson (too many jackson's in this game) is every bit as good as Westbrook but our Dline is way better than the Rams. The ONLY thing that scares me is picking up the Eagles blitz. For some reason they always get pressure no matter how much you gameplan. I say leave McQ or some other huge lineman back as a protection fullback and level the first Eagle thru the line and I mean level him. Hit him like he was the quarterback instead of the other way around. Start putting the fear into the linebackers coming thru instead. It takes a weapon out of the mix but that still leaves T.O., Crayton, and Witten plus MBIII or Felix out of the back field. That still creates mismatches in our favor and leaves protection for Romo.
